Mac's Conversational English Class

This week, in the morning of Sunday (23rd Mar) Hang - as a CELTA qualified teacher of English - and some teachers from South Korea will share some tips about learning English effectively. We are looking forward to hearing your ideas and experiences on your journey of mastering English or languages in general.

In the afternoon we, together with some guests, are going to join in a walking tour to Tri Nguyen island. We will explore the island as well as the life of the local people there. People at all levels of language skill are welcome.

MCE on Sun 02nd Mar

Thank you everyone for coming to join the sessions last Sunday. We had great time talking about different gadgets and an interesting talk about everyone’s keys, followed by discussing the techniques for sharing and exchanging new ideas. We hope that would be helpful for everyone, especially for those looking forward to study/work in an international environment.

This week on Wed (5th Mar), to start with, Teacher John will share some interesting things about the country that he comes from. There will be plenty of games and quizzes in this session.

Later on, Hang will run a session about pronunciation on Sunday (9th Mar). She will address the difficulties of English pronunciation for speakers of Vietnamese and how to overcome these problems.

Hooray! We’re back. Mac’s Conversational English Class has been suspended for quite a while but now we’re scheduled to get back on track with many engaging activities to help people to get better in English and many other things.
Our first “returned” activity will take place on this Sunday the 2nd of March. Details are in the attachment below. Teacher John from University of Manchester (one of our beloved teachers) and Hang will be the guides for the meet-up. So, come as you can, we’ll see you all there.

There will be a memorial talk in loving memory of our beloved teacher – Mac, from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm also on Sunday, 30th June. Everyone is welcome to share thoughts and memories.

Mac’s funeral will be on Sunday, 30th June from 8:00 am – 3:30 pm then the cremation afterwards.
The service will be held at Nhà Tang Lễ Bệnh viện Quân Y 87 – Address: 78 Tuệ Tĩnh, Lộc Thọ, Nha Trang.
You can park your vehicle at Bệnh viện Quân Y 87 and ask the security where the funeral house is.
We do not wish to receive any condolence money.
Mac likes seeing everyone happy, so colorful clothes are suggested.

Just to wish everybody all the best for Christmas and thereafter the New year. Both are ideal opportunities to meet up with family and friends, relax and enjoy their company. So, wherever you are in the world think about and enjoy life, and all the people within it. May your future be everything in your dreams.

Good morning to one and all. Sadly yesterday I developed pink eye and so even though I am using medication I effectively cannot see and this condition is also very contagious, therefore I’m unable to hold any more conversational English classes until my condition is stable. I am fortunate that I can prepare this note through dictation on my laptop and so I would ask any of you to check with colleagues that normally attend the class that they have seen this note and therefore they do not waste their time attending. Hope to see you all again very soon
