Năm mới, thay cái background mới cho có khí thế một chút.
Niềm đam mê với tiếng Việt thì thật ra vẫn vậy thôi – bền bỉ như một thói quen lâu năm, không bỏ được. Chỉ là thỉnh thoảng mình cần một chút thay đổi nhỏ để tự nhắc mình rằng hành trình này vẫn đang tiếp tục.
Dạy tiếng Việt online hóa ra lại là một xu thế rất thú vị.
Không cần chen chúc ngoài đường, không cần chạy xe giữa giờ cao điểm, chỉ cần mở máy tính, pha một tách trà, và bắt đầu nói về những điều mình yêu thích.
Mà tính ra, xăng lên giá cũng là một “động lực học thuật” rất đáng kể.
Ở nhà nhiều hơn, tự nhiên thấy đầu óc cũng nhẹ nhàng hơn, ít vội vàng hơn.
Khi không phải chạy đi chạy lại, mình có thêm thời gian để viết, để đọc, để nghĩ về tiếng Việt theo cách sâu hơn một chút.
Có những ý tưởng trước đây chỉ kịp lướt qua trong đầu, giờ lại có cơ hội được lưu lại lại thành bản ghi, thành bài giảng, thành câu chuyện.
Đôi khi mình cũng thấy vui vì công việc này giống như một cuộc trò chuyện dài với ngôn ngữ.
Mỗi ngày học thêm một chút, hiểu thêm một chút, rồi lại đem chia sẻ cho người khác.
Thế nên năm mới chỉ đơn giản là vậy thôi:
một cái phông mới, một chút động lực mới, và vẫn là tình yêu cũ – với tiếng Việt.

The journey of the Vietnamese writing system has been a relentless quest to find a method that accurately records its diverse and subtle phonological system. This journey is marked by three brilliant milestones:

Chữ Hán (Ideographic Borrowing): For many centuries, Chinese characters were used as the official script. However, as an ideographic system following its own grammar, it could not accommodate the vast vocabulary of native Vietnamese. Consequently, it remained inadequate in expressing the soul and the rhythmic pulse of Vietnamese life.

Chữ Nôm (Ideographic Innovation): Driven by a desire for linguistic autonomy, our ancestors created Chữ Nôm by combining Chinese characters to phonetically represent native Vietnamese words. While this marked a significant leap in national consciousness, the script’s complexity—requiring mastery of Chinese characters before one could learn Chữ Nôm—prevented it from becoming a universal tool for the masses.

Chữ Quốc Ngữ (Phonetic System): The birth of Chữ Quốc Ngữ (the Latin-based script) was a revolution. Missionaries and scholars used Latin characters to directly "encode" each individual phoneme of the Vietnamese language. By following the principle of "writing as one hears," Chữ Quốc Ngữ simplified the process of literacy, providing Vietnam with a scientific, unified, and enduring symbolic system that thrives to this day.
