Most people view Aikido as a method of spiritual perfection. True, the practice of Aikido helps relieve stress, and can serve as a kind of psychotherapy, but it is not enough to see Aikido as purely a spiritual path. The ideal in Aikido is to unify one's ki, mind, and body.
