Brewing Creativity, Serving Innovation: Food Tech Day 2026

This year Food Tech Day welcomed 100+ students, staff, industry guests, and participants from universities including International University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, and Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City to our Saigon South campus for an afternoon celebrating innovation, collaboration, and applied food science. The event featured two key highlights: the Fusion Food Concepts Challenge and the Food Tech Capstone Showcase.

Our Food Tech Capstone Showcase featured live demonstrations and tastings of industry-linked student projects developed in collaboration with partners including TIM CORP, Brenntag Vietnam, and TA Vital. Featured innovations included spirulina-based foods and beverages, plant-based sausages, cultured dairy drinks, and Liberica coffee products.

Meanwhile, the Fusion Food Concepts Challenge brought together interdisciplinary student teams from multiple universities to develop bold and creative food concepts across Industrial and Restaurant streams. Finalist ideas ranged from Koji Coffee Set and Bun Bo Hue Sushi Bite to Vang Lamb Pie and Chả cốm Miso, competing for a total prize pool worth over VND 22 million.

More than a showcase, Food Tech Day 2026 highlighted the creativity, scientific thinking, and industry readiness of the next generation of food innovators.

Our students recently took part in the 27th International Workshop on Shaping Organizational Strategy Powered by AI hosted by Poznan University of Technology (PUT).

As part of the annual initiative and long-standing collaboration between SSET and PUT, the program brought together students from universities across Europe, Australia, and Vietnam to exchange ideas, tackle real-world challenges, and explore the future of AI-driven strategy and innovation.

Throughout the exchange trip, students experienced:

✨ Cross-cultural teamwork and global networking
✨ Industry and academic insights into AI and strategic thinking
✨ And so many unforgettable memories in Poland!
