🌍 ICBF 2025 – International Conference on Business and Finance at UEH: Connecting a Global Academic Network on Sustainable Development

The International Conference on Business and Finance 2025 (ICBF 2025), held on 1–2 December 2025 by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), brought together leading scholars, policymakers and experts from around the world in a hybrid format. As a flagship academic event—and especially meaningful in UEH’s 50th anniversary year—ICBF 2025 was co-organised with top global partners including the University of Lincoln, University of Huddersfield, University of Leicester (UK), Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), CFVG and ISB, with strong support from Chung-Ang University, Binh Duong University and the University of Lodz.

Building on the success of previous editions, ICBF 2025 focused on Sustainable Development amid climate change, energy transition and rising economic–environmental risks. The conference featured discussions across Economics, Management, Finance, Banking, Accounting, Commerce, Law, Tourism and Marketing, with emphasis on ESG, sustainable finance, digital transformation and FinTech, innovation-driven growth, and regulatory frameworks for the green economy.

The conference welcomed distinguished keynote speakers: Prof. Jonathan A. Batten (RMIT University, Australia), Prof. Gary A. Campbell (Michigan Technological University, USA), Prof. Sung Y. Park (Chung-Ang University, Korea), Prof. Tao Chen (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore), Prof. Abhijit Sharma (University of Huddersfield, UK) and Prof. Evan Lau Poh Hock (UNIMAS, Malaysia). Their presentations offered deep insights into digital transformation in risk management, big data and the future of economic modelling, sustainable finance and ESG investing, and the availability of critical by-product metals for renewable energy transition.

A key highlight of ICBF 2025 was the Meet the Editors session, connecting researchers with editors of leading ISI/Scopus journals. This strategic activity provided practical guidance on peer-review standards, publishing expectations and strategies to enhance research quality—particularly valuable for early-career researchers aiming for international publication.

With more than 200 submissions annually and over 100 accepted papers presented, ICBF continues to affirm UEH’s position as a leading regional research hub. ICBF 2025 once again expanded global academic collaboration, strengthened the exchange of knowledge and contributed scientific evidence that supports sustainable policymaking and innovation-driven economic development.

On August 8, 2024, the annual International Conference on Business and Finance 2024 (ICBF 2024), co-organized by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH, CFVG, ISB, IBR) along with Lincoln University - United Kingdom and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) - Singapore, officially opened - an occasion for speakers and researchers from both domestic and international, especially in the field of Finance - Business, to share and discuss the latest research on a global scale.
The ICBF 2024 conference brings together many speakers who are renowned scientists from prestigious universities and editors-in-chief of leading international scientific journals. Notably, the conference welcomes the presence of Professor Johnathan Batten - Professor of Finance at the Department of Banking and Finance, Monash University, Australia. And along with over 150 scientists, researchers and scholars domestically and internationally, the conference has the participation of representatives from co-organizing units: Professor Fabien De Geuser - Director of the Vietnam-France Management Center (CFVG); Professor Siobhan Lorraine Goggin - Head of Accounting, Finance and Economics - Lincoln University, United Kingdom; Professor David Paul Gray, Professor Mr. Mariyan Rizov, Professor Quach Hao - Lincoln University, United Kingdom; Dr. Koh Cheng Boon - Nanyang Technological University - Singapore; Mr. Jiang Yulin - World Scientific Publishing.
