💥 Nhằm hỗ trợ các ứng viên cập nhật thông tin về Mùa tuyển sinh Học kỳ mùa Thu 2024 của NCKU, Văn phòng Cheng Kung tại Việt Nam tổ chức chương trình học bổng thường niên lần thứ 5 - Webinar “Road to National Cheng Kung University” vào ngày 06 tháng 03 với sự góp mặt của các Diễn giả đến từ Văn phòng Quốc tế (OIA); Trung tâm Hoa ngữ (CLC); Khoa Công nghệ Sinh học và Khoa học Công nghiệp sinh học; Viện Công nghệ Bán dẫn (AISSM); Viện Quản lý Quốc tế (IMBA) và Khoa Cơ khí.
💥 Thông qua link đăng kí, sự kiện nhận được sự hưởng ứng đến từ các ứng viên: 32% Sinh viên Sau đại học, 31% Sinh viên Đại học, 18% Giảng viên, 9% Học sinh Trung học, 4% thuộc Công nghiệp, 3% thuộc Chính phủ, 1% thuộc Bệnh viện, 2% đến từ các tổ chức khác. Ngoài ra, chương trình được phát sóng trực tiếp cho xấp xỉ 3.000 học sinh ở Trường Sovannaphumi, Campuchia.
💥Mở đầu sự kiện, TS. Minh Hiền – Giám đốc Văn phòng Cheng Kung tại Việt Nam đã gởi lời cảm ơn đến Cô Meav Vanneath – Quản lý Quan hệ Công chúng thuộc Trường Sovannaphumi, các Diễn giả cũng như người tham gia, đồng thời giới thiệu về mục đích và ý nghĩa của Webinar. Tiếp đến với phát biểu khai mạc, Cô Meav Vanneath đại diện Trường phát biểu và bày tỏ niềm vinh dự khi hợp tác với NCKU trong sự kiện lần này.
💥 Chương trình trực tiếp bắt đầu với Cô Ada Huang và Cô Angela Chen đến từ OIA-NCKU. Mở đầu với Bộ phận Tuyển dụng và Tiếp nhận Du học sinh, Cô Ada Huang giới thiệu những thành tích nổi bật tại NCKU:
- Chất lượng toàn cầu với 11 Khối Trường, 51 Khoa và 43 Viện được thành lập, đứng thứ nhất trong số các Đại học ở Đài Loan trong Bảng xếp hạng SDG Impact Rankings, và lần lượt đạt xếp hạng thứ 42 và 228 trong Bảng xếp hạng SDG Impact Rankings và QS World University Rankings;
- Cộng đồng NCKU hùng mạnh: 210.000 Cựu sinh viên, 12.159 Sinh viên Đại học, 10.923 Học viên Sau đại học, 2.157 giảng viên, 2.199 nhân viên. NCKU đặc biệt thu hút 1.981 sinh viên/nghiên cứu sinh quốc tế đến từ hơn 76 quốc gia.
Các lưu ý về thời gian ứng tuyển và hồ sơ yêu cầu cũng được đề cập tới các ứng viên, với một số thay đổi đáng chú ý như lệ phí đăng ký 2.000 NT hay yêu cầu về chứng chỉ Tiếng Anh. Cô tiếp tục chia sẻ về các chương trình học bổng trợ cấp hàng tháng của Chính phủ lên tới 30.000 NT như MOE, MOFA, MOST, etc. Ngoài ra, các học bổng của NCKU cũng vô cùng hấp dẫn với trợ cấp học phí kèm trợ cấp hàng tháng (cao nhất với 33.000 NT đối với chương trình Tiến sĩ), và ngoài ra sinh viên còn có thể nhận được các hỗ trợ từ Khoa/Giáo sư.
💥 Cô Angela đã giới thiệu Chương trình trao đổi sinh viên trong 5 tháng tại NCKU đối với học kỳ mùa Thu 2024 (deadline: 10/04/2024) và học kỳ mùa Xuân 2025 (deadline: 15/10/2024) cùng với cơ hội học Tiếng Trung tại Trung tâm Hoa Ngữ miễn phí. Cô còn cho biết Chương trình thực tập Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP) giúp sinh viên trải nghiệm chương trình giáo dục tại Đài Loan và có cơ hội kết nối với thị trường nghề nghiệp tại Châu Á (deadline: 12/2024) và Chương trình thực tập International Internship Pilot Program (IIPP) giúp sinh viên thực tập 3 tháng tại các Đại học ở Đài Loan (deadline: 10/2024).
💥 Tiếp theo, GS. Jen-Sue Chen, Phó Viện Trưởng - Viện Công nghệ Bán dẫn (AISSM) giới thiệu tổng quan về AISSM và các hướng nghiên cứu chính: Thiết kế vi mạch, Công nghệ Sản xuất Chất bán dẫn, Đóng gói và Thử nghiệm Chất bán dẫn, Vật liệu và Sản xuất Thông minh & Bền vững, với việc kết nối hơn 70 doanh nghiệp, kèm theo đó là các cơ hội làm việc tại Công ty Sản xuất Chất bán dẫn Đài Loan dành cho sinh viên/ học viên. Về chương trình học bổng, Giáo sư đã giới thiệu chương trình học bổng vô cùng giá trị dành cho sinh viên trao đổi, học viên Thạc sĩ với mức dao động từ 315-630 USD/tháng và dành cho học viên Tiến sĩ lên đến 1.260 USD/tháng.
💥 Trưởng Khoa GS. Woei-Jiun Guo từ Khoa Công nghệ Sinh học và Khoa học Công nghiệp Sinh học giới thiệu 2 định hướng nghiên cứu chính của Khoa gồm Nông nghiệp & Thủy sản và Mảng Y sinh. Lĩnh vực Nông nghiệp & Thủy sản tập trung về Miễn dịch & Triệu chứng, Công nghệ Sinh học và Sinh lý học Thực vật, Phát triển & Sinh lý học, Tảo & Vi khuẩn và Cấu trúc Protein, trong khi Mảng Y sinh nghiên cứu về Viêm, Ung thư, Triệu chứng thần kinh, Y học tái tạo, Lão hóa, Cấu trúc Protein, Tin sinh học. Cùng với đó là những thành tựu nghiên cứu vô cùng ấn tượng: hơn 500 bài báo SCI và 129 bằng sáng chế, hỗ trợ từ Chính phủ lên tới hơn 3 triệu USD mỗi năm và phí chuyển giao công nghệ hơn 1 triệu USD. Bên cạnh mạng lưới kết nối lớn mạnh với các doanh nghiệp. Khoa còn đầu tư cơ sở vật chất và thiết bị phòng thí nghiệm tối tân nhằm tạo điều kiện tốt nhất cho sinh viên học tập.
💥 GS. Yu-Yu Chang giới thiệu tổng quan về sứ mệnh của Viện Quản lý và hướng nghiên cứu của các Giáo sư bao gồm các mảng như Quản trị, Hệ thống Thông tin, Tài chính, Tiếp thị và Khởi nghiệp. Tiếp đến, Giáo sư chia sẻ chi tiết về chương trình đào tạo Thạc sĩ và Tiến sĩ và môi trường học tập năng động tại đây. Các thành tựu của Viện Quản lý đã được thể hiện thông qua việc thu hút đông đảo sinh viên/nghiên cứu sinh quốc tế (162 sinh viên quốc tế được ghi danh ở học kì mùa Xuân 2024) và cộng đồng cựu sinh viên quốc tế (798 thành viên đến từ 67 quốc gia khác nhau).
💥 Tiếp theo là phần trình bày của Cô Jia-Jia Hou đến từ Trung tâm Hoa Ngữ. Trung tâm cung cấp các chương trình theo học phần (10-11 tuần) và chương trình hè ngắn hạn (5 tuần), lớp học sẽ gồm 2 kiểu là nhóm nhỏ (lên đến 13 thành viên) hoặc 1 kèm 1. Trung tâm giúp các học viên tiếp cận tiếng Trung không chỉ qua bài giảng, mà còn thông qua một số hoạt động mang đậm tính bản sắc văn hóa Đài Loan. Ngoài ra, ứng viên có thể ứng tuyển các học bổng tại Trung tâm như CLC General Scholarship hỗ trợ 36.000 NT cho 6 tháng, và Huayu Enrichment Scholarship với phụ cấp hang tháng 25.000 NT.
💥 Cuối cùng, GS. Chih-Hsing Liu giới thiệu những thông tin nổi bật về lịch sử hình thành của Khoa Cơ khí (một trong ba Khoa được thành lập đầu tiên) và 5 mảng nghiên cứu chính của Khoa bao gồm Khoa học Lưu chất và Nhiệt, Cơ học Chất rắn, Thiết kế Cơ khí, Vật liệu & Chế tạo, Hệ thống & Điều khiển.
💥 Webinar trở nên sôi động hơn hết với các câu hỏi liên tục được đặt ra từ những ứng viên quan tâm. Bộ phận tuyển sinh đã nhấn mạnh những điểm cần lưu ý khi ứng tuyển: một tài khoản có thể ứng tuyển 3 Khoa; yêu cầu chứng minh tài chính ít nhất 4.000 USD để đảm bảo cho ứng viên trong trường hợp không đủ điều kiện được cấp học bổng trong các năm tiếp theo hoặc trong các trường hợp khẩn cấp; đảm bảo cung cấp đầy đủ 2 thư giới thiệu; tìm hiểu kỹ về yêu cầu Tiếng Anh/Tiếng Trung của từng Khoa; chuẩn bị checklist để đảm bảo đầy đủ hồ sơ (kể cả hồ sơ bổ sung).

💥 In order to assist candidates in updating information about NCKU 2024 Fall Admission, NCKU Overseas Hub in Vietnam organized the 5th annual scholarship program - Webinar "Road to National Cheng Kung University" on March 6th with the esteemed presence of Sovannaphumi School and Speakers from the Office of International Affairs (OIA); Chinese Language Center (CLC); Department of Biotechnology and Bioindustrial Sciences; Academy of Innovative Semiconductor and Sustainable Manufacturing (AISSM); Institute of International Management (IMBA); Department of Mechanical Engineering.
💥 Through the registration link, the event received massive responses from candidates: 32% Graduate Students, 31% Undergraduate Students, 18% University Staff, 9% High School Students, 4% Industry, 3% Government, 1% Hospitals, 2% Others. In addition, the scholarship program was broadcast live to approximately 3,000 students at Sovannaphumi School, Cambodia.
💥 Commencing the event, Dr. Minh Hien - Director of NCKU Overseas Hub in Vietnam expressed her appreciation to Ms. Meav Vanneath - Public Relations Manager of Sovannaphumi School, the Speakers and participants and introduced the aim of the Webinar. Next with the Opening Remark, Ms. Meav Vanneath represented the School and expressed her honor of cooperating with NCKU in this event.
💥 The Webinar started with Ms. Ada Huang and Ms. Angela Chen from OIA-NCKU. Firstly, Ms. Ada Huang introduced outstanding achievements at NCKU:
- Global university with 11 Colleges, 51 Departments and 43 Institutes, ranking 1st among Universities in Taiwan in the SDG Impact Rankings, and ranking 42nd and 228th respectively in the SDG Impact Rankings and QS World University Rankings;
- Strong NCKU community: 210.000 Alumni, 12.159 Undergraduate Students, 10.923 Graduate Students, 2.157 lecturers, 2.199 staff. NCKU especially attracts 1.981 international students/graduates from more than 76 countries.
Notes on application time and required documents are also mentioned to candidates, with some notable changes such as the registration fee of 2.000 NT or language requirement. She continued to share about the Government's monthly subsidy scholarship programs up to 30,000 NT such as MOE, MOFA, MOST, etc. In addition, NCKU's scholarships are also captivating with tuition subsidies and monthly stipends (highest at 33,000 NT for PhD programs).
💥 Continuing with the Division of Study Abroad, Ms. Angela introduced the 5-month student exchange program at NCKU including the Fall 2024 semester (deadline: April 10, 2024) and Spring 2025 semester (deadline: October 15, 2024) along with the opportunity of learning Chinese for free at the Chinese Language Center. She also said that the Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP) internship program helps students experience the educational program in Taiwan and connect with the job market in Asia (deadline: December 2024), and The International Internship Pilot Program (IIPP) helps students intern for 3 months at Universities in Taiwan (deadline: October 2024). Finally, she encouraged Vietnamese students/researchers as well as international candidates to take advantage of the above exchange programs to develop their learning opportunities.
💥 Next, Associate Dean Prof. Jen-Sue Chen gave an overview of AISSM and introduced five programs: IC Design, Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology, Semiconductor Packaging and Testing, Key Materials, Smart & Sustainable Manufacturing. NCKU AISSM is the most dynamic and integrated environment in Taiwan connecting more than 70 industry partners, along with opportunities to work at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company for students (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing). Regarding the scholarship program, the Professor introduced an extremely valuable scholarship program for exchange students and Master's students with ranges from 315-630 USD/month and for PhD students up to 1.260 USD/month.
💥 The third introduction came from the Department of Biotechnology and Bioindustrial Sciences, Dean Prof. Woei-Jiun Guo introduced the two main research momentum including Agriculture & Aquaculture and Biomedical Group. Professors encourage candidates to learn about Department’s research papers so they can choose the appropriate research direction. In addition, the Professor shared more about the 3+2 dual degree program with USA Purdue University and Sweden KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
💥 Coming to the next presentation, Prof. Yu-Yu Chang introduced an overview of the mission and the research directions of Professors including areas such as Management, Information Systems, Finance, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship. Next, the Professor shared details about the Master and Doctoral course map, and the dynamic learning environment here. The Institute of Management's achievements have been demonstrated through attracting a large international student/researcher body (a total of 162 students as of the Spring 2024 semester) and an international alumni community (798 students come from 67 different countries).
💥 Next was the presentation of Ms. Jia-Jia Hou from the Chinese Language Center. She excitedly shared about the program including getting acquainted with Chinese characters, level placement tests and free cultural programs. The Center offers 4 seasonal programs (10-11 weeks) and a short-term summer program (5 weeks), classes will classified into 2 types: small groups (up to 13 members) or 1 on 1. The program helps Students approach Chinese not only through lectures but also through a number of activities imbued with Taiwanese cultural identity. In addition, candidates can apply for scholarships at the Center such as CLC General Scholarship with support of 36,000 NT for 6 months, and Huayu Enrichment Scholarship with a monthly allowance of 25,000 NT.
💥 Finally, Prof. Chih-Hsing Liu introduced outstanding information about the history of the establishment of the Department of Mechanical Engineering (one of the three Departments first established at NCKU) along with information about the faculty and the 5 main research areas including Thermal and Fluid Science, Solid Mechanics, Mechanical Design, Materials & Manufacturing and System & Control. In addition, the Professor emphasized international collaborations with Universities in Germany, the US and the UK, creating potential opportunities for students/researchers to study at the Department.
💥 The Webinar became exciting with questions continuously asked from interested candidates. The Speakers were also enthusiastic when answering directly and interactively through the virtual screen. Ms. Ada Huang explained some important information when applying for a scholarship: One account can apply to up to 3 Departments; Candidates can freely opt between preparing 1 standard document for all or preparing separate document for each Department; Require financial proof of at least 4.000 USD; Make sure to provide 2 letters of recommendation on time; Read carefully the teaching language and language requirements of the Department; Prepare a checklist of documents, even the additional documents.
💥 The event, after nearly 3 hours of broadcasting, attracted 812 participants from Facebook and Cisco and 10 countries around the world: Vietnam, Taiwan, Cambodia, Malaysia, United States, Thailand, Japan, Philippines, Canada and India.
