SEAMEO RETRAC An intergovernmental organization dedicated to excellence in education. The Center started its very first operations in October, 1996.

The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) was established on November 30, 1965 as a chartered international organization whose purpose is to promote cooperation in education, science and culture in the Southeast Asian region of the world. SEAMEO consists of 11 Member Countries: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste and Vietnam. Besides, SEAMEO also has eight Associate Member Countries: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and Spain. Vietnam, re-admitted as a SEAMEO Member State on February 10, 1992, by the SEAMEO Council, hosts the SEAMEO Regional Training Center (SEAMEO RETRAC) in Ho Chi Minh City.

After two inspiring days of academic exchange, professional dialogue, and international collaboration, the 17th TESOL Conference, co-organised by SEAMEO RETRAC and Curtin University, has come to a successful close!

Held under the theme โ€œ๐’๐ก๐š๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐…๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐“๐„๐’๐Ž๐‹ ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ƒ๐ข๐ ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐€๐ ๐ž,โ€ the conference brought together education leaders, researchers, teacher educators, practitioners, and language professionals from Viet Nam and across Southeast Asia and beyond.

From representatives of Ministries of Education across the region to presenters and participants from universities, educational institutions, organisations, and international partners, the conference provided a truly international and professional academic platform to exchange research, share innovative practices, and explore how technology and emerging trends are reshaping the future of English language teaching and learning.
