The winning course, Sustainability & Creativity, shows how students can tackle real sustainability challenges through industry-partnered, problem-based learning. Working with organisations such as UNICEF, Rethink Plastic Vietnam, Lại Đây Refill Station, and more recently with local start ups like SmartSolar and Alternō, students developed practical responses to issues including growth hacking, upcycling, and SDG communication.

From award-winning projects to strong student feedback, this course shows what education for the future can look like: creative, collaborative and grounded in real-world change.

🎉Sustainability Impact Challenge 2026 is officially here!

Co-organised by RMIT Vietnam, University of Social Sciences & Humanities, International University, and Vietnamese - German University, SIC 2026 empowers students to embark on their sustainability journeys through hands-on learning and real-world challenges.

❓Who should join SIC 2026?

✅ Aged 18-24 currently residing in Vietnam
✅ Undergraduate or recent graduates from diverse disciplines
✅ Interested in sustainability, innovation, or community impact
✅ Able to commit fully to the 8-week program duration, with average commitment of approximately 15 hours per week

This year, SIC registration is structured with 2 phases:

👉 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝟭 - 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺. This round is for us to understand who you are, your interest in sustainability, and what’s inspired you to be the change this year.

👉 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝟮 - 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱. This is for you to showcase your ability to work with others, your eagerness for sustainability challenges, and how you can solve the problems heads-on.
