The first week of school brought plenty of welcomes. And a few welcome backs.
Just a few months ago, Charlie, Tom, and Ana were sitting in these classrooms as part of our Class of 2026. Last week, they walked through our doors again. They caught up with teachers, reconnected with friends, and shared what comes next.
Australia. The USA. The Netherlands. Three Rhinos heading to three different parts of the world, carrying with them the relationships, experiences, and memories built here.
There is something special about seeing alumni return, even briefly. A reminder that leaving ISHCMC does not mean leaving the community behind. We can’t wait to see what you add to the places and communities you join next. Once a Rhino, always a Rhino.

Get ready for After School Activities (ASA) Season 1!
Our first season is about to begin, with activities spanning sports, creativity, technology, and experiential learning. Whether students want to discover a new interest, build their skills, or spend time doing something they enjoy, there is something for every Rhino.
Keep an eye on this important registration date: Monday, 24 August at 7:00 AM.
Explore the options, talk them through as a family, and get ready to sign up!
Last week, we asked our students one question: What advice would you give to a new Rhino at ISHCMC?
Their answers were honest, thoughtful, and full of heart. Stay curious. Focus in class. Join a sport or activity. Step outside your comfort zone and make new friends.
But one answer captured the spirit of our community perfectly: “We will always be here for you.”

One week into the new school year, and ISHCMC has felt exactly like we hoped. In the classrooms, the canteen, the playground, and every hallway, you can feel it.
Students are back in their element. Reconnecting with old friends, building new ones, settling into classrooms, and bringing real excitement and motivation to the learning and growth ahead.

This week, our Secondary students gathered for the first assembly of Academic Year 2026–2027. For the first time, Middle School and High School students came together separately, each with their own space to connect, reflect, and set the tone for the year ahead.
Two assemblies. Two new Principals stepping in to welcome the students and share their vision. But one shared purpose running through both rooms: All in One ISHCMC. All on One Page.

Yesterday, our community got a little bigger, and we loved every moment of it. Whether you're brand new to ISHCMC or making the transition from Primary to Secondary, we hope our Orientation Day felt exactly like it was meant to: warm, welcoming, informative, and the beginning of something great.
