Defining yourself isn’t exactly rocket science—or even "harder than a nut" (unless that nut is a particularly stubborn pistachio). In fact, it’s a total piece of cake. Or a slice of pie. Or a very easy-to-peel banana.

Let’s dive into the shallow end of the identity pool with: "My name is..."
For example:
"My name is Kate."
"I am Kate."
"I am the artist formerly known as Kate."

If you’re feeling spicy and want to keep people on their toes, you could try:
"Call me Take, because I like to reverse things—including my name and my car into mailboxes."

Một trong những lối nói rất phổ biến trong tiếng Anh là BE LIKE. Nó mang nghĩa: GIỐNG NHƯ / NHƯ LÀ / TƯƠNG TỰ... Bạn có thể hỏi và nói như vầy: What is the weather like today? It is very hot. / What's he like? He's tall and handsome. He's like an actor.
Tiếp theo là một câu chuyện vui mà bạn có thể thấy cách nói này trở nên hài hước ra sao:
Judy Murray's tweet that "Sharapova is like a tea bag. Put her into hot water and you'll find out how strong she is" leaves the Russian feeling somewhat, erm, strained. "Who is that?" the Russian replies.
When told it was Andy Murray's mother, Sharapova is asked about being compared to a tea bag and says: "Can you explain that to me? I love tea. I'm a big tea drinker. I don't understand what she means."
When the meaning is explained in further detail Sharapova says: "That's great. She's very creative."

It's nice to see students that are not just learners; they are interesting people with ideas to discuss.
