We also want to establish right away that this is about unearthing and externalizing, not editing or making "perfect art." No one gets put on the spot, and you can control how much you want to share.
Meet the Mentor ๐
โ๏ธ Sheena Petten is a writer, poet, and teacher who cares deeply about using the written word to navigate difficult experiences.
Bringing a warm, intuitive approach shaped by a literary background and counseling practices, Sheena creates an open, grounded space for people to write through heavy themes.
โ๏ธ She helps individuals use metaphor, perspective, and imagery to look at tough memories safely, guiding them to move past cliches and find the raw, honest truths in their own stories.
This is a workshop for all levels of writers -- from beginners to experts. Stop keeping your best stories trapped in your head; we all have masterpiece hidden in our thoughts and mind. This is a great opportunity to voice your thoughts through writing. We are not looking for "perfect art" -- anything authentic and you walk away with a smile. ๐
Are you in? See you there!

Teaching is often seen as a straightforward exchange of facts, but it goes far deeper. It's an invitation to unlock the vast potential hidden within each studentโan awakening of curiosity, resilience, and imagination that shapes not just minds but futures. In every lesson, every interaction, we hold the power to open doors unseen, to inspire dreams that defy limits. This journey reminds us how interconnected we truly are, as educators and learners, in a shared quest to explore what lies beyond the obvious. What if teaching is less about answers and more about sparking questions that lead to new worlds? Let's reflect on how this transformative act challenges us to rethink knowledge itself and embrace the mysteries that learning unveils. ๐๐ง โจ

๐ค Ep42 | Autism Acceptance
๐ This is Global Educatorsโa place where educators share their mission and passion. We advocate mental health and neurodiversity. Neurodiversity acceptance is crucial for people so we can empathize with others who have different styles of communication.
๐ April is Autism Awareness Month at BYKE Academy, and we want to share with everyone the importance of this topic. April 2nd is Autism Acceptance Day, and accepting is better than spreading awareness. Acceptance is about accepting the differences of others who have a different communication style.
๐ค Emma is a passionate, late-diagnosed neurodivergent occupational therapist and mother of two. Emma brings experience of supporting individuals and communities across the lifespan and global contexts.
