[VIETNAM AMAZING]

3 days without a new covid case in Vietnam and 0 deaths 😁❤️. Sheer discipline, will, forward-thinking, and willingness to sacrifice unnecessary luxuries in order to save lives and benefit the greater good. A proactive, pragmatic, rational government that took radical preventative steps early on that (most) people followed. Most people in Vietnam aren't wealthy, many are very poor, but most were willing to sacrifice what little income they had during this time in order to protect the community and defeat this virus. The government has provided food and accommodations and people have been taking care of needy people in the community with free food. Nobody has starved.

On the other hand, much of Western society is dominated by selfishness, greed, denial, stubborn inflexibility, everybody thinking that they know everything, and unwillingness to sacrifice unnecessary freedoms and luxuries for collective safety. That mentality has not been conducive to success against covid. Attending massive music festivals and spring break celebrations in March? Constant "it's no worse than the flu" denial? Refusing to wear masks? Gathering in (close, tight) groups on the street in protest? Wtf?]

Because Vietnam is a Communist country, major Western news outlets will never report about Vietnam's victory over covid. But the past few months have irrefutably shown what can be accomplished when a society works together and cooperates, puts the health and safety of all ahead of greed and getting rich, and where people don't try to act like they know better than everybody else. After the final 67 or so (of course, a few more may still be detected in the next few days) covid cases in the hospitals are cured, not a molecule of covid will exist within these borders. Over 100,000,000 people here will now be safe and won't have to risk exposure to the virus. The domestic economy can start to open up again and people can to go work or go outside and enjoy life without fearing for their lives or the lives of their loved ones. It took a couple months of disciplined sacrifice, but because of that the next few years here will be very bright for Vietnam. I 100% wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the world right now. 🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳💪💪💪💪
