Congratulations to Phuong Nga, a K5 student at Swinburne Ho Chi Minh City location, who has been recognised by the Vietnam Volunteer Community as an Outstanding National Volunteer in recognition of her meaningful contributions to community service.

💙 Phuong Nga is also the former co-founder of Light Up Hope, the student volunteer club at Swinburne Ho Chi Minh City location. During her time with the club, Light Up Hope organised numerous community initiatives, creating positive social impact through projects supporting children, disadvantaged communities, and other meaningful social causes.

One of the club's most remarkable initiatives was Seeds of Love, which brought together students, partners, and generous donors to raise VND 21 million to support medical expenses, while delivering more than 111 care packages to children undergoing cancer treatment at Children's Hospital 2.

💙 This recognition is not only a well-deserved achievement for Phuong Nga, but also reflects the spirit of social responsibility, compassion, and proactive leadership that the Swinburne Vietnam student community strives to cultivate.

Exciting news from the Swinburne global community! Team We Maid AI has been crowned the Founder Mode Champion at Agentic AI Build Week, standing out among more than 300 competing teams.

🏆 Organised by GenAI Fund in collaboration with AWS, VNG, Tencent Cloud, and other leading technology partners, Agentic AI Build Week is one of the region's largest hackathons dedicated to agentic AI.

Together, the team developed Syncnapse – an AI teammate capable of actively participating in meetings, capturing the rationale behind decisions in real time, transforming them into a structured and searchable organisational knowledge base, and intelligently recommending which tasks should be handled by humans, AI, or through human–AI collaboration.

🏆 Competing against more than 2,500 developers and 300 teams throughout the week-long Agentic AI Build Week, this cross-campus Swinburne team emerged as the overall winner in the Founder Mode category. Their achievement reflects outstanding teamwork, perseverance, and innovation, while showcasing the strength of Swinburne's global network and its commitment to developing future-ready talent.

For me, choosing a university was never just about reputation. I wanted a place that offered both a high quality international education and a tuition fee that suited my family's financial situation. That is exactly what led me to apply for a scholarship at Swinburne HCMC location.

🔺 When I received the scholarship offer, I felt genuinely happy. It meant I could pursue an internationally recognised degree while gaining access to valuable extracurricular opportunities and a dynamic learning environment that will help prepare me for my future career.

Looking back, I know this achievement was built through consistency. Maintaining strong academic performance throughout three years of high school while working toward an IELTS 8.0 was not always easy, but staying disciplined every day eventually paid off. Winning First Prize in the D**g Nai Provincial Excellent Student Competition in English also gave me greater confidence in my abilities.

During my high school years, what I am most proud of is not only my academic results or IELTS achievement, but also the opportunity to take part in an environmental scientific research project with my teammates. Together, we developed the idea of an AI integrated automated system designed to support waste collection and management in streets and urban areas.

✨ Through this project, I came to realise that technology only creates real value when it is applied to solve practical problems. This experience also played a significant role in my university decision. It led me to see Swinburne HCMC location as a strong fit for my goals. I was particularly impressed by the university’s highly practical curriculum, modern learning environment, and reasonable investment compared to the quality of international education it offers.

That is why when I received the scholarship email, my first feelings were happiness and pride. This scholarship not only helps ease the financial burden on my family, but also marks the first major achievement I have earned through my own academic ability and dedication.

💝 What started as a journey brought together nearly 100 students from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Along the way, strangers became teammates, teammates became friends, and every moment became a memory worth keeping.

🌳 From exploring Hanoi and conquering the breathtaking landscapes of Sa Pa to taking on Amazing Race challenges and celebrating together at the Gala Dinner, every experience reminded us that the best part of any journey is the people you share it with.

🫶 Thank you to everyone who made Flames of Youth 2026 so unforgettable. The trip may be over, but the friendships, laughter, and memories we've created will stay with us long after the journey ends.

When I received the scholarship from Swinburne HCMC location, my first feelings were happiness and relief. More importantly, this scholarship gave me greater confidence in my own abilities and reassured me that the effort I had put in over the years was truly worthwhile.

As a French specialised student at Thang Long High School for the Gifted, I have always been passionate about language learning and continuously sought opportunities to grow in an international environment. And Swinburne HCMC location has always been one of the universities I aspired to join.

💖 After carefully exploring my options, what impressed me most about Swinburne HCMC location was its fully English taught programs, modern learning environment, and strong international orientation. These were also the key reasons why I believed Swinburne would be the right choice for my academic and personal development.

There is a quote that has always stayed with me: “In baseball, if you swing, you might hit or miss. But if you never swing, you will always miss.” Throughout my academic journey, I have come to realise that many valuable opportunities only appear once. The biggest regret is not failure, but not having the courage to start.

💖 That mindset is also what motivated me to begin building my scholarship profile early. I worked hard to maintain strong academic performance while actively participating in the National French Team, academic competitions, extracurricular activities, and community volunteer projects. Every experience has helped me grow, not only in knowledge but also in mindset, skills, and resilience.
