Ngày 29/05/2026, sinh viên Viện Đô thị Thông minh và Quản lý, Đại học Kinh tế
TP. Hồ Chí Minh (UEH-ISCM) đã tham gia Hội nghị Sinh viên Quốc tế về Phát triển Đô thị bền vững lần thứ 4 (The 4th International Student Conference on Sustainable UrbanDevelopment – SUD 2026), được tổ chức tại Trường Đại học Việt Đức (VGU).

Sustainable Urban Development là diễn đàn học thuật quốc tế quy tụ sinh viên, nhà nghiên cứu trẻ và chuyên gia trong lĩnh vực phát triển đô thị bền vững nhằm chia sẻ các nghiên cứu, ý tưởng và giải pháp sáng tạo trước những thách thức của quá trình đô thị hóa hiện nay. Sự kiện là cơ hội để các nhóm nghiên cứu trẻ giới thiệu những đề xuất có tính ứng dụng thực tiễn, đồng thời kết nối với cộng đồng học thuật trong và ngoài nước.

Tại Hội nghị Sinh viên Quốc tế lần thứ 4 về Phát triển Đô thị Bền vững (SUD 2026), nhóm sinh viên ISCM gồm Nguyễn Chánh Tường Anh, Nguyễn Hoàng Thư Các, Trần Thị Hoa, Nguyễn Trường Long và Nguyễn Hoàng Hải Yến đã giới thiệu ba đề xuất hướng đến phát triển đô thị thông minh và bền vững gồm:
- Đề xuất tái kết nối đô thị trung tâm Bến Thành trong tương lai
- Mô hình ECO-TECH TOD HUB tại Khu Công nghệ cao
- Phát triển TOD gắn với phục hồi sinh thái khu vực Ga Metro Văn Thánh

Việc tham gia SUD 2026 là cơ hội để sinh viên ISCM tiếp cận môi trường học thuật quốc tế, chia sẻ ý tưởng nghiên cứu, nâng cao kỹ năng trình bày và phản biện học thuật, đồng thời mở rộng mạng lưới kết nối với các chuyên gia và sinh viên đến từ nhiều đơn vị đào tạo khác nhau.

Bên cạnh đó, sự hiện diện của sinh viên ISCM tại các sân chơi học thuật bên ngoài nhà trường tiếp tục khẳng định tinh thần học tập chủ động, năng lực nghiên cứu và khả năng ứng dụng kiến thức vào giải quyết các thách thức đô thị đương đại, góp phần lan tỏa hình ảnh của thế hệ chuyên gia đô thị trẻ sáng tạo và trách nhiệm với sự phát triển bền vững của thành phố.

| ISCM STUDENTS BRING SMART AND SUSTAINABLE URBAN SOLUTIONS TO THE 4TH INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CONFERENCE ON SUSTAINABLE URBAN DEVELOPMENT 🌤️

May 29, 2026 – Students from the Institute of Smart City and Management (ISCM), University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), participated in the 4th International Student Conference on Sustainable Urban Development (SUD 2026), hosted by the Vietnamese-German University (VGU).

The Sustainable Urban Development Conference is an international academic forum that brings together students, young researchers, and experts in the field of sustainable urban development to exchange research findings, ideas, and innovative solutions to contemporary urbanization challenges. The event provides an opportunity for emerging research groups to showcase practical and impactful proposals while expanding connections with both national and international academic communities.

At the 4th International Student Conference on Sustainable Urban Development (SUD 2026), a team of ISCM students, including Nguyen Chanh Tuong Anh, Nguyen Hoang Thu Cac, Tran Thi Hoa, Nguyen Truong Long, and Nguyen Hoang Hai Yen, presented three proposals aimed at advancing smart and sustainable urban development:
- A proposal for reconnecting Ben Thanh’s urban core in the future
- The ECO-TECH TOD HUB model at High-Tech Park Station
- Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) associated with ecological restoration in the Van Thanh Metro Station area

Participation in SUD 2026 provided ISCM students with valuable opportunities to engage in an international academic environment, exchange research ideas, enhance presentation and academic debate skills, and expand professional networks with experts and students from various institutions.

The presence of ISCM students at external academic forums continues to demonstrate their proactive learning mindset, research capabilities, and ability to apply knowledge to address contemporary urban challenges. Their achievements contribute to promoting the image of a new generation of creative, responsible urban professionals committed to the sustainable development of cities and communities.

| HỘI THẢO KHOA HỌC “THỰC THI LUẬT ĐÔ THỊ ĐẶC BIỆT: LỘ TRÌNH KIẾN TẠO TP.HCM THÔNG MINH, BỀN VỮNG VÀ NET-ZERO” 📜

Sáng ngày 29/5/2026, Đại học Kinh tế Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh (UEH) tổ chức Hội thảo khoa học “Thực thi Luật Đô thị Đặc biệt: Lộ trình kiến tạo Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh - Đô thị thông minh, bền vững và Net-Zero”. Hội thảo là diễn đàn kết nối các nhà khoa học, chuyên gia hoạch định chính sách, cơ quan quản lý, doanh nghiệp và tổ chức trong, ngoài nước, cùng trao đổi các luận cứ khoa học và giải pháp thực tiễn cho tiến trình phát triển TP.HCM trong giai đoạn mới.

Hội thảo được tổ chức nhằm đóng góp trực tiếp vào quá trình hiện thực hóa các chính sách từ Luật Đô thị Đặc biệt của TP.HCM, nhất là trong bối cảnh Thành phố đang hướng tới mô hình quản trị đô thị thông minh, bền vững, thích ứng cao và có năng lực cạnh tranh quốc tế.

Từ góc nhìn học thuật và thực tiễn, chương trình tập trung thảo luận các định hướng quan trọng:
- Góp phần hoàn thiện Luật Đô thị Đặc biệt theo hướng khả thi, rõ trách nhiệm và dễ triển khai
- Đề xuất một khung triển khai thực thi cho TP.HCM sau khi Luật được ban hành
- Thúc đẩy mô hình thử nghiệm chính sách và công nghệ thông qua Sandbox, Living Lab và các không gian đổi mới sáng tạo
- Hình thành hệ sinh thái đồng kiến tạo giữa Nhà nước - Đại học - Doanh nghiệp - Cộng đồng - Tự nhiên

Đặc biệt, PGS.TS. Trịnh Tú Anh – Viện trưởng Viện Đô thị Thông minh và Quản lý, Đại học Kinh tế TP.HCM (UEH-ISCM) cùng TS. Christopher Han đã giới thiệu khung vận hành Value Co-Creation Ecosystem for Sustainable Impact, phương pháp luận thúc đẩy hợp tác đa bên nhằm giải quyết các thách thức đô thị và tạo ra tác động bền vững.

Bên cạnh đó, với vai trò là đại học nghiên cứu đa ngành, gắn kết chặt chẽ với cộng đồng và quốc tế, UEH tiếp tục khẳng định cam kết đồng hành cùng TP.HCM trong cung cấp luận cứ khoa học, đề xuất giải pháp chính sách và thúc đẩy các mô hình đổi mới sáng tạo, hướng tới kiến tạo một đô thị thông minh, bền vững, Net-Zero và đáng sống.

| SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE ON “IMPLEMENTING THE SPECIAL URBAN LAW: A ROADMAP FOR BUILDING A SMART, SUSTAINABLE, AND NET-ZERO HO CHI MINH CITY” 📜

On May 29, 2026, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) hosted the scientific conference “Implementing the Special Urban Law: A Roadmap for Building a Smart, Sustainable, and Net-Zero Ho Chi Minh City”. The conference served as a platform connecting scientists, policymakers, government agencies, businesses, and organizations from Vietnam and abroad to exchange scientific insights and practical solutions for Ho Chi Minh City’s development in a new era.

The conference aimed to contribute directly to the implementation of policies under the Special Urban Law, particularly as Ho Chi Minh City advances toward a smart, sustainable, highly adaptive urban governance model with strong international competitiveness.

From both academic and practical perspectives, the conference focused on several key directions:
- Contributing to the refinement of the Special Urban Law to ensure feasibility, clear accountability, and effective implementation
- Proposing an implementation framework for Ho Chi Minh City once the Law comes into effect
- Promoting policy and technology experimentation through Sandbox initiatives, Living Labs, and innovation spaces
- Building a value co-creation ecosystem among Government – Universities – Businesses – Communities – Nature.

A highlight of the conference was the presentation by Assoc. Prof. Trinh Tu Anh, Director of the Institute of Smart City and Management, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH-ISCM), and Dr. Christopher Han, who introduced the Value Co-Creation Ecosystem for Sustainable Impact framework, a methodology designed to foster multi-stakeholder collaboration in addressing urban challenges and generating sustainable impacts.

As a multidisciplinary research university with strong community and international engagement, UEH continues to reaffirm its commitment to supporting Ho Chi Minh City through scientific evidence, policy recommendations, and innovative models, contributing to the development of a smart, sustainable, Net-Zero, and livable city.

Từ ngày 27–29/05/2026, Hội thảo quốc tế lần thứ 5 về Phát triển bền vững trong Kỹ thuật Xây dựng, Đô thị và Giao thông – The 5th International Conference on Sustainable Development in Civil, Urban and Transportation Engineering (CUTE 2026) đã diễn ra tại Trường Đại học Tôn Đức Thắng, quy tụ đông đảo học giả, chuyên gia và nhà nghiên cứu đến từ nhiều quốc gia trên thế giới.

Là diễn đàn học thuật uy tín được tổ chức định kỳ hai năm một lần, CUTE 2026 tập trung thảo luận các chủ đề quan trọng liên quan đến phát triển đô thị bền vững như xây dựng xanh, quy hoạch đô thị thích ứng với biến đổi khí hậu, hệ thống giao thông bền vững, vật liệu tiên tiến và các giải pháp hướng đến tương lai đô thị thông minh. Năm nay, hội thảo ghi nhận hơn 150 bài báo khoa học đến từ 75 trường đại học và viện nghiên cứu thuộc 13 quốc gia và vùng lãnh thổ.

Trong khuôn khổ hội thảo, PGS.TS. Trịnh Tú Anh – Viện trưởng Viện Đô thị Thông minh và Quản lý (ISCM), Đại học Kinh tế TP.HCM (UEH) tham gia với vai trò Co-Chair, góp phần kết nối các hoạt động học thuật, nghiên cứu và hợp tác quốc tế trong lĩnh vực phát triển đô thị bền vững.

Sự tham gia của đại diện ISCM tại CUTE 2026 không chỉ mở rộng cơ hội trao đổi học thuật với các chuyên gia quốc tế mà còn góp phần tăng cường kết nối giữa ISCM với các trường đại học, viện nghiên cứu và đối tác trên toàn cầu trong các lĩnh vực đô thị thông minh, đổi mới sáng tạo và phát triển bền vững.

As a prestigious biennial academic forum, CUTE 2026 focused on key issues related to sustainable urban development, including green construction, climate-resilient urban planning, sustainable transportation systems, advanced materials, and innovative solutions for future smart cities. This year's conference featured more than 150 research papers submitted by 75 universities and research institutions across 13 countries and territories.

As part of the conference, Assoc. | ISCM – UEH KẾT NỐI HỌC THUẬT QUỐC TẾ TẠI Ý: HÀNH TRÌNH KIẾN TẠO MẠNG LƯỚI “WISE TOWN” VÀ LIVING LAB TOÀN CẦU 🇮🇹

Từ 08/05/2026 - 21/05/2026, đoàn công tác UEH-ISCM bao gồm PGS.TS. Trịnh Tú Anh – Viện trưởng Viện Đô thị Thông minh và Quản lý (ISCM), TS. Christopher Han – Giám đốc Chiến lược Đổi mới sáng tạo UEH, NCS. Đặng Thế Hiển - Giám đốc chương trình Kiến trúc và Thiết kế đô thị thông minh (BAUD) - Hệ Kiến trúc sư và Quản lý dự án smART Hub Living Lab, TS. Phạm Nguyễn Hoài - Giám đốc chương trình Quản trị vận hành và di chuyển thông minh (BMOM) và anh Nguyễn Hoàng Phúc - học viên chương trình Thạc sĩ Quản trị đô thị thông minh và sáng tạo (MSCIM) đã tham gia chuỗi hoạt động học thuật và hợp tác quốc tế tại Ý, nhằm thúc đẩy các định hướng nghiên cứu – đào tạo trong lĩnh vực đô thị thông minh, phát triển bền vững, di chuyển thông minh và mô hình Living Lab.

Trong khuôn khổ dự án quốc tế TNE NEW SEASON do Liên minh Châu Âu tài trợ, đoàn đã làm việc cùng Đại học Basilicata tại các thành phố Matera, Paestum, Ascea Marina và khu vực Cilento. Một trong những điểm nhấn nổi bật là việc tham gia hội thảo quốc tế “Wise Town Manifesto” – nơi quy tụ các học giả và chuyên gia từ Ý, Hàn Quốc, Trung Quốc và Việt Nam nhằm thảo luận về mô hình đô thị thông thái cân bằng giữa công nghệ, cộng đồng và di sản địa phương.

Bên cạnh các hoạt động học thuật, đoàn cũng thực hiện khảo sát thực địa tại nhiều địa điểm di sản nổi bật như Sassi di Matera, bờ biển Amalfi, Paestum, Salerno, Ravello và Sorrento nhằm nghiên cứu cấu trúc đô thị lịch sử, khả năng tiếp cận giao thông, áp lực hạ tầng du lịch và các mô hình tái tạo cộng đồng địa phương. Đặc biệt, ISCM – UEH đã có buổi làm việc với Politecnico di Milano (Polimi) để trao đổi về tiềm năng hợp tác nghiên cứu trong lĩnh vực quy hoạch đô thị, kiến trúc và mô hình Living Lab quốc tế.

Chuỗi hoạt động tại Ý không chỉ mở rộng mạng lưới hợp tác quốc tế của ISCM – UEH mà còn góp phần thúc đẩy các chương trình nghiên cứu liên ngành, đổi mới sáng tạo và kết nối học thuật toàn cầu trong tương lai.

| ISCM – UEH STRENGTHENS INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC CONNECTIONS IN ITALY: BUILDING THE “WISE TOWN” NETWORK AND GLOBAL LIVING LABS 🇮🇹

From May 8 to May 21, 2026, the UEH–ISCM delegation, including Associate Professor Dr. Trinh Tu Anh – Director of the Institute of Smart City and Management (ISCM); Dr. Christopher Han – UEH Director of Innovation Strategy; PhD Candidate Dang The Hien – Program Director of the Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Design (BAUD) and Project Manager of the smART Hub Living Lab; Dr. Pham Nguyen Hoai – Program Director of the Bachelor of Smart Operations and Mobility Management (BMOM); and Mr. Nguyen Hoang P**c – student of the Master of Smart and Innovative City Management (MSCIM) program, participated in a series of academic and international collaboration activities in Italy. The mission aimed to promote research and educational initiatives in smart cities, sustainable development, smart mobility, and Living Lab models.

Within the framework of the European Union-funded international project TNE NEW SEASON, the delegation collaborated with the University of Basilicata across the cities of Matera, Paestum, Ascea Marina, and the Cilento region. One of the highlights of the trip was participating in the international workshop “Wise Town Manifesto,” which gathered scholars and experts from Italy, South Korea, China, and Vietnam to discuss urban models that balance technology, community, and local heritage.

Alongside academic activities, the delegation also conducted field surveys at notable heritage destinations such as Sassi di Matera, the Amalfi Coast, Paestum, Salerno, Ravello, and Sorrento to study historical urban structures, transportation accessibility, tourism infrastructure pressures, and local community regeneration models. In addition, ISCM – UEH held a working session with Politecnico di Milano to discuss potential research collaborations in urban planning, architecture, and international Living Lab models.

The academic activities in Italy not only expanded ISCM – UEH’s international collaboration network but also contributed to advancing interdisciplinary research, innovation, and global academic connectivity for the future.

| WORKSHOP UNIVERS TOUR TIỀN PHONG NAM 2026: “TIÊU CHUẨN CÔNG TRÌNH XANH VÀ TÁC ĐỘNG ĐẾN LỰA CHỌN VẬT LIỆU: YẾU TỐ THEN CHỐT CHO PHÁT TRIỂN BỀN VỮNG TRONG NGÀNH XÂY DỰNG” 🌿

Chiều ngày 28/05/2026, tại cơ sở B - Nguyễn Tri Phương, hội trường B1.302, Viện Đô thị Thông minh và Quản lý (ISCM), Đại học Kinh tế TP.HCM (UEH), đã phối hợp cùng Công ty Cổ phần Nhựa Thiếu niên Tiền Phong phía Nam tổ chức workshop thuộc chuỗi Univers Tour Tiền Phong Nam 2026 với thông điệp “Khơi dòng khát vọng, dẫn lối tương lai”.

Chương trình thu hút hơn 200 sinh viên quan tâm đến lĩnh vực xây dựng, vật liệu, hạ tầng đô thị và phát triển bền vững. Workshop không chỉ mang đến kiến thức chuyên môn về tiêu chuẩn công trình xanh, xu hướng vật liệu bền vững và các giải pháp hạ tầng hiện đại, mà còn mở ra cơ hội kết nối giữa Nhà trường – Doanh nghiệp – Sinh viên, góp phần thúc đẩy tinh thần đổi mới sáng tạo và ứng dụng thực tiễn trong đào tạo.

Đến tham dự workshop, Ban Tổ chức vinh dự đón tiếp đại diện Viện Đô thị Thông minh và Quản lý (ISCM), Đại học Kinh tế TP.HCM (UEH), gồm ThS. KTS. Trần Thị Quỳnh Mai – Giám đốc Chương trình Kiến trúc và Thiết kế đô thị thông minh; TS. KTS. Huỳnh Văn Khang – Giảng viên, Trưởng mảng Kết nối cộng đồng; cô Lê Thị Thủy Tiên – Trưởng mảng Truyền thông, Trưởng Ban Tổ chức chương trình; cùng đại diện Công ty Cổ phần Nhựa Thiếu niên Tiền Phong phía Nam gồm ông Phạm Hồng Tuấn – Phó Giám đốc Kinh doanh; ông Hà Ngọc Viễn – Trưởng phòng Kinh doanh vùng Đông Nam Bộ; bà Nguyễn Thị Tâm – Trưởng phòng Marketing; ông Sơn Hoàng Danh – Giám sát vùng Kinh doanh Đông Nam Bộ; và ông Phí Mạnh Hùng – Chuyên viên Phát triển thị trường.

Điểm nhấn của chương trình là phần chia sẻ từ đại diện Nhựa Tiền Phong Nam xoay quanh các hệ thống chứng nhận công trình xanh như LEED, EDGE, LOTUS cùng những góc nhìn thực tiễn về xu hướng phát triển xanh trong ngành xây dựng hiện nay. Bên cạnh đó, doanh nghiệp cũng trao tặng “Học bổng kiến tạo tương lai xanh” dành cho sinh viên ngành Kiến trúc và Thiết kế đô thị thông minh.

Workshop khép lại trong không khí sôi nổi với các hoạt động minigame, giao lưu và trải nghiệm tại booth trưng bày các sản phẩm của doanh nghiệp. Thông qua chương trình, ISCM và Nhựa Tiền Phong Nam kỳ vọng sẽ tiếp tục lan tỏa tinh thần phát triển xanh, bền vững và truyền cảm hứng để thế hệ trẻ chủ động kiến tạo tương lai đô thị Việt Nam.

| UNIVERS TOUR TIEN PHONG NAM 2026 WORKSHOP: “GREEN BUILDING STANDARDS AND THEIR IMPACT ON MATERIAL SELECTION: A KEY FACTOR FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY” 🌿

On the afternoon of May 28, 2026, at Hall B1.302, Campus B – Nguyen Tri Phuong, Institute of Smart City and Management (ISCM), University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, in collaboration with Tien Phong Plastic JSC South, successfully organized a workshop as part of the Univers Tour Tien Phong Nam 2026 series under the theme “Igniting Aspirations, Guiding the Future.”

The workshop attracted more than 200 students interested in construction, building materials, urban infrastructure, and sustainable development. Beyond providing professional insights into green building standards, sustainable materials, and modern infrastructure solutions, the event also created opportunities to strengthen connections between the University, businesses, and students, while promoting innovation and practical applications in education.

The Organizing Committee was honored to welcome representatives from the Institute of Smart City and Management (ISCM), University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, including M.Arch. Tran Thi Quynh Mai – Director of the Smart Urban Architecture and Design Program; Dr. Arch. Huynh Van Khang – Lecturer and Head of Community Engagement; Ms. Le Thi Thuy Tien – Head of PR & Communications and Head of the Organizing Committee; along with representatives from Tien Phong Plastic JSC South, including Mr. Pham Hong Tuan – Deputy Sales Director; Mr. Ha Ngoc Vien – Head of Southeast Regional Sales Department; Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam – Head of Marketing Department; Mr. Son Hoang Danh – Southeast Regional Sales Supervisor; and Mr. Phi Manh Hung – Market Development Specialist.

One of the highlights of the workshop was the presentation delivered by representatives from Tien Phong Plastic South, featuring discussions on green building certification systems such as LEED, EDGE, and LOTUS, along with practical perspectives on the growing trend of sustainable development within the construction industry. In addition, the company awarded the “Green Future Scholarship” to students majoring in Architecture and Smart Urban Design.

The workshop concluded with an exciting atmosphere through interactive minigames, networking activities, and product showcase experiences at the company’s exhibition booth. Through this event, ISCM and Tien Phong Plastic South aim to continue promoting the spirit of green and sustainable development while inspiring younger generations to actively contribute to shaping the future of Vietnam’s urban development.
