The line graph compares three capital cities (A, B and C) in terms of the number of international conferences organized during the period of fifty years between 1980 and 2010. Units are measured in number.

As inferred from the graph, while city A fluctuated violently in the downward trend and city B decreased during the process, city C tended to increase. Between city A and C, there was a change in the highest and lowest position in the number of international conferences hosted at the start and end of the period shown.

It is clear that there was a similar downturn in the number of global meetings held in city A and B which started at 35 and about 32 respectively. The data of the former declined significantly to the lowest at 20 in the next decade in 1975 after which the figure witnessed a wild oscillation, ranging between 20 and 30, before dropping / being back to its lowest level in the last year. That of the later, slightly vacillating though, experienced a period of stable fall and went down to well under 25 in 2015.

The most noticeable change could be seen in city C where international conferences stood at zero at the start of the period. The number soared dramatically in the next thirty years and peaked at roughly 30 in 1995, followed by a considerable dip before the number climbed back to the 1995 figure.

The line graph depicts the information about the number of jobless people in the US and Japan during the period between March 1993 and March 1999. Units are measured in percentage of work force.

It can be concluded from the graph that the proportion of unemployed people in the US decreased over the time, while Japan witnessed a completely opposite trend in the unemployment rate. In addition, the number of people out of work was higher in the US in comparison to Japan.

As can be seen in the graph, in March 1993, 7% of American were unemployed in the US, whereas Japan’s rate stood at a mere 2.5%. However, the two countries witnessed contrast trends in the following years. While the proportion of the former started to decline moderately to roughly 5% in March 1996, that of the later registered a steady growth to approximately 3.5% in the same year.

From March 1996 to March 1999, the percentage of jobless people in the US fluctuated in a downward trend before falling to a low of 4% at the end of the given period. In contrast, the figure for Japan remained more or less the same at around 3.5% until March 1998, followed by a remarkable rise to reach to over 4.5% in the last year, marginally outnumbering the unemployment rate in the US.
