We visited local families who make palm sugar by hand, turning the sweet sap of the palm into golden treasures that have become part of the region’s identity.

Bánh bò thốt nốt, a soft, airy, fragrant, and naturally sweet from fresh palm sugar is what Trang has been making everyday to introduce to everyone at Thom Culinary. Because Trang believes that, more than a delicacy, it is a story of culture, craftsmanship, and the deep connection between people and the land.

A beautiful reminder that some of Vietnam’s richest flavors are found in its simplest traditions.
