Let's find out about this traditional holiday of Vietnamese with Study in Viet Nam:))

The Ghost Festival (Lễ Vu Lan), known as the Hungry Ghost Festival as well in modern day. It's is a traditional Buddhist festival held in Asian countries. In the lunar calendar, the Ghost Festival is on the 15th night of the seventh month.
In Vietnam, during this day, people go to churches or pagodas. Then, at their houses, they had trays which is full of ghost offerings such as cakes, candies, rice pops, sweet potatoes, fruits and hell money.
While the host praying and lighting incense, children gather around the trays. After the final stick of incense is lit, they start grabbing at the food offerings. Only the hell money is left. :D

Lễ Vu Lan hay được biết đến là ngày cúng ma đói. Đây là 1 ngày lễ truyền thống của Phật giáo, diễn ra ở các nước Châu Á. Ngày lễ này diễn ra vào ngày 15 tháng 7 âm lịch hằng năm.
Ở Việt Nam, mọi người đi đền, chùa. Sau đó họ cúng ở nhà, bày trên 1 cái mâm đầy những thứ để cúng ma như bánh kẹo, bỏng gạo, khoai lang, hoa quả và tiền âm phủ.
Trong khi chủ nhà khấn và thắp hương, trẻ con đứng xung quanh chiếc mâm. Khi thắp hương xong, lũ trẻ sẽ bắt đầu cướp lấy những thứ trên mâm càng nhanh càng tốt, chỉ để lại tiền giấy.
