Today, I said goodbye to my English student after two wonderful years of learning Vietnamese together. He and his wife are returning to the UK after five years of living and working in Vietnam.

We shared a warm farewell over bún chả and Vietnamese coffee, laughing and reminiscing about all the memories—from the very first lesson to the funny moments of mispronunciations.

I gave him a few advanced Vietnamese books as a keepsake. We don’t know if we’ll meet again, but I believe the beautiful memories will stay with us forever.

🌸 A Heartwarming Meeting After a Year of Online Connection! 🌸

Today, I had the chance to meet one of my Romanian students in person — someone who has been learning Vietnamese with me online for the past year. He came to Vietnam to travel and visit his wife’s family, and still made time to meet me, take me out for lunch, and... completely touched my heart.

He was so thoughtful — not only did he bring me a gift, but he also prepared presents for my mother, my daughter, and my husband. Such small gifts, yet filled with so much warmth and kindness. 🥹💝
