IB PYP: The 3 Parts & 4 New Things in Our Classroom 🌱
This morning, our Primary students came together for another exciting PYP session.
First, they explored the three parts of the PYP: Student – the learner, How – learning and teaching, and Everyone – the learning community. They were reminded that they are at the heart of all three.
They then discovered four things that make their PYP classroom special: Units of Inquiry, Wonder Walls, Portfolios, and Action- ways to ask questions, track their growth, and turn learning into meaningful action.
The session continued with a special ukulele performance by Grade 3 and Grade 5. 🎶
For Grade 3, the performance connected to their PYP theme “Belonging,” giving students the opportunity to collaborate and connect with another grade level through music.
For Grade 5, it connected to “Who We Are,” as students shared their musical skills and explored how music can express ourselves, connect us with others, and create a sense of belonging.
An assembly filled with questions, music, sharing, and lots of PYP spirit!
