🌏 DR. DINH VAN THANH – RECTOR OF EAST ASIA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY (PARENT INSTITUTION OF ITCI VIETNAM) ATTENDS THE VIET NAM–NEW ZEALAND EDUCATION FORUM 2026
The Forum took place as part of General Secretary and President To Lam’s State visit to New Zealand, bringing together the high-level Vietnamese delegation along with representatives from a wide range of higher education institutions, vocational education providers, and businesses from both Viet Nam and New Zealand.
Representing East Asia University of Technology (EAUT) – the parent institution of ITCI Vietnam, Dr. Dinh Van Thanh, Rector of the University, participated in the Viet Nam–New Zealand Higher Education and Vocational Education Forum 2026 under the theme “Shaping a Shared Future: Talent, Innovation and Skills for the Future.”
The Forum highlighted key directions for educational cooperation between Viet Nam and New Zealand, with particular emphasis on developing high-quality human resources for the digital, green, circular, and knowledge economies. Priority fields include artificial intelligence, data science, digital technologies, cybersecurity, renewable energy, and other emerging areas. These fields also align closely with East Asia University of Technology’s current education and research priorities as the University advances toward becoming an innovative, digital, and green university.
During the Forum, Dr. Dinh Van Thanh had the opportunity to meet, exchange ideas, and explore potential cooperation with leaders and representatives of higher education institutions and vocational education providers in New Zealand. These discussions created further opportunities for the University to connect with new partners whose strengths and directions align with its development strategy in the coming years.
The University’s participation in the Forum further demonstrates East Asia University of Technology’s commitment to internationalization. By expanding its connections with international educational institutions and partners, the University seeks to enhance the quality of education and training, strengthen research activities, and provide more opportunities for its faculty members and students to study, exchange, and gain international experience.
