The EAUT Study Tour 2026 has come to an end, but the memories, friendships, and connections we have made will remain.

From Nanning Normal University to East Asia University of Technology, these days together have been more than just a journey of academic and cultural exchange — they have become a meaningful part of our youth.

This is not goodbye, just goodbye for now. Until we meet again! 💙

🎓 Study Tour Closing Day | Final Moments at EAUT

After days of learning, cultural exchange, and new experiences in Vietnam, the Study Tour for students from Nanning came to its final activity with Certification Day at ITCI Vietnam.

During the closing session, the students looked back on some of the most memorable moments of the program through videos created by each group. Representatives of East Asia University of Technology also shared a few words with the delegation before certificates were presented to the lecturers and students who took part in the program.

Yet perhaps the moments that will be remembered most came after the formalities had ended. As the final photos were taken and hugs replaced words of goodbye, many Nanning students could not hold back their tears.

From Vietnamese language classes and cultural exchange activities to the experiences shared throughout their time at ITCI, the program may have been short, but it was long enough to create new friendships and beautiful memories between students from both institutions.

ITCI Vietnam hopes that this Study Tour will serve as a foundation for more exchange activities, collaborative programs, and future Study Tours between the two institutions, so that every goodbye can always come with the promise of meeting again.

你好, Xin chào!

Vietnamese is already familiar to the students from Nanning, China, as they had been studying the language for some time before coming to Vietnam. But learning from a textbook is one thing; speaking with accurate pronunciation, tones, and a more natural rhythm is another.

During the class with Mr. Nguyen Thanh Liem – Head of the Faculty of Chinese Language, the students went back to familiar expressions such as “xin chào” (hello), “cảm ơn thầy” (thank you, teacher), and “đi chơi” (go out/hang out). Mr. Liem listened closely to their pronunciation, corrected individual sounds, and helped them adjust their mouth positions and tones. Some words were already familiar and had been used many times, yet with closer guidance, the students began to notice how their Chinese pronunciation habits could still influence the way they spoke Vietnamese.

After the Vietnamese lesson, the class switched things up with a short dance to “Tết Tình.” At first, everyone was watching each other to remember the moves, but after a few rounds, they quickly caught the rhythm and started moving together. It was a relaxed and lively way for the students to practise the language while experiencing another side of Vietnamese culture and everyday life.

Perhaps after today, the Vietnamese expressions once familiar only from textbooks will feel a little closer — now that the students have had the chance to hear, speak, and use them right here in Vietnam.

Hanoi through new eyes 🇻🇳🇨🇳

A day exploring Hanoi the “local” way with our Nanning students and EAUT Buddies.

From checking in at the Temple of Literature, strolling along Tong Duy Tan Street, and trying Vietnamese food to hanging out at Hanoi Train Street, taking photos, and waiting for the train to pass right in front of us. No complicated itinerary needed — just a new city, a new group of friends, and plenty of stories to share along the way.

Vietnamese, Chinese, and English naturally took turns in every conversation. And whenever words were hard to find, a smile, a gesture, or a little body language did the job. The further we went, the more stories we had to tell and the fuller our camera rolls became after every stop. 📸

🇻🇳 CONGRATULATIONS ON THE GRAND OPENING OF THE NEW CAMPUS OF EAST ASIA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

Today, in the joyful and solemn atmosphere of the Grand Opening Ceremony of the new campus of East Asia University of Technology (EAUT), the staff and students of ITCI Vietnam, together with the delegation of staff, lecturers, and students from Nanning Normal University, had the opportunity to attend and celebrate this meaningful milestone with the University. This was also a special event within the EAUT Study Tour 2026 program.

During the ceremony, ITCI Vietnam had the opportunity to meet and engage with the University’s Board of Management, leaders of faculties and institutes, as well as partner organizations. These exchanges helped strengthen connections, encourage knowledge sharing, and open up further opportunities for collaboration in training, academic exchange, and the internationalization of education.

🏫 The launch of the new campus not only marks an important step forward in EAUT’s growth in terms of scale and facilities, but also reflects the University’s strong commitment to building a modern, dynamic, and internationally oriented learning environment for students.

🌏 DR. DINH VAN THANH – RECTOR OF EAST ASIA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY (PARENT INSTITUTION OF ITCI VIETNAM) ATTENDS THE VIET NAM–NEW ZEALAND EDUCATION FORUM 2026

The Forum took place as part of General Secretary and President To Lam’s State visit to New Zealand, bringing together the high-level Vietnamese delegation along with representatives from a wide range of higher education institutions, vocational education providers, and businesses from both Viet Nam and New Zealand.

Representing East Asia University of Technology (EAUT) – the parent institution of ITCI Vietnam, Dr. Dinh Van Thanh, Rector of the University, participated in the Viet Nam–New Zealand Higher Education and Vocational Education Forum 2026 under the theme “Shaping a Shared Future: Talent, Innovation and Skills for the Future.”

The Forum highlighted key directions for educational cooperation between Viet Nam and New Zealand, with particular emphasis on developing high-quality human resources for the digital, green, circular, and knowledge economies. Priority fields include artificial intelligence, data science, digital technologies, cybersecurity, renewable energy, and other emerging areas. These fields also align closely with East Asia University of Technology’s current education and research priorities as the University advances toward becoming an innovative, digital, and green university.

During the Forum, Dr. Dinh Van Thanh had the opportunity to meet, exchange ideas, and explore potential cooperation with leaders and representatives of higher education institutions and vocational education providers in New Zealand. These discussions created further opportunities for the University to connect with new partners whose strengths and directions align with its development strategy in the coming years.

The University’s participation in the Forum further demonstrates East Asia University of Technology’s commitment to internationalization. By expanding its connections with international educational institutions and partners, the University seeks to enhance the quality of education and training, strengthen research activities, and provide more opportunities for its faculty members and students to study, exchange, and gain international experience.
