Breakdown generational superiority based on "Theory of Generations"
These several years, a key sociological issue had been raised surrounding Gen Z's weak mindset and vulnerability.
This vantage point ( = point of view) is based on personal sense as well as historical influence. For example, the generation who lived in the war period or the famine (n. nạn đói) period would have memory bias. Therefore, they are unable to grasp (v. thấu hiểu) the decision of the younger who live in modern life. It is clearly known that Gen Z or Gen Millennials are affected by this type of perception.
The notion of generation is widely used in the everyday world to make sense of differences between age groupings in society and to locate individual selves and other persons within historical time. Mannheim ( The problems of generation - 1923) believed that generational location point to "certain definite mode of behavior, feeling and thought", and formative experiences during the time of youth are highlighted as the key period in which social generations are formed. Another statement from George Orwell's proven generation superior is "Every generation imagines itself to be more intelligent than the one that went before it, and wiser than the one that comes after it."They overcame the renovation and economic integration period when the market was opened and everyone had the opportunity. On the opposite, Gen Z or Millennial live in a competitive environment where draconian measures (n. tiêu chuẩn khắt khe "vô lý") are based on various qualities. Besides that, technology and social media are becoming the main factors that built up the pressure on this generation.
In conclusion, generation superior is formed by the shared social consciousness of a particular generation. Moreover, different generations have different obstacles (n. khó khăn) and challenges. Therefore we should respect and sympathize with the gaps instead of criticising them.
