Had visitor stop by to read a Cajun Night Before Christmas this morning. Thank you for the story Ms. Ashley!! The alligators were a huge hit!!

A childcare provider is probably the most important person in your life, and also the least appreciated.

A childcare provider is probably the most overworked profession, and definitely the most underpaid.

A childcare provider isn't "just a babysitter". We provide care for your child just as we do for our own. We take time to get to know your child, and to connect with them, and build a bond with them. We make sure THEY are provided for so that you as a parent, can work your job with peace of mind knowing your babies are in good hands.

Childcare providers need days off, just like everyone else does. Childcare providers should be allowed sick days, personal days, mental health days; just like every other profession in the world. BUT childcare providers often do not get these days, because it isn't about us. It's about the children.

So maybe, just maybe, try to appreciate what your childcare provider actually does for you. Look at the bigger picture. They are your child's world outside of you. They are who your child sees on a daily basis. They are the ones who help to teach your child their ABCs, numbers, colors. They are the ones who comfort your child when they need it during the day. They are the ones who make sure your child is cared for so that you are able to work.

It is not an easy job. Anyone who says it is, spend a day in a childcare providers shoes. I promise you will have a different opinion and a new found respect for those who care for your children when you can't.

Childcare providers work. Just like you do. Their job is so much MORE important than any other job there is. Because they care for your babies! They deserve the same respect that you do.

The kids had a blast today!! Thank you Ashley, Lizzy's mom, for letting us use the wagon!! It was perfect. The kids were all so well behaved on the walk. They ran all the way home 🏃🏃‍♀️🏃
