Các em lớp 10 thân mến, các em lớp 11 đáng yêu và các bạn học sinh 12 kính quý!!!!
Câu lạc bộ Tiếng Anh là một nơi rất phù hợp và đáng cho các bạn để tham gia vào nhằm rèn luyện khả năng Tiếng Anh của mình.
Các bạn sẽ gặp được ban chủ nhiệm đáng yêu nhất, các thầy cô phụ trách đầy nhiệt huyết, hiện đại, các thành viên cũ đầy nhiệt tình, một môi trường giao lưu Tiếng Anh chỉ dành cho các bạn.

Halloween or Hallowe'en (a contraction of Hallows' Even or Hallows' Evening), also known as Allhalloween, All Hallows' Eve, or All Saints' Eve, is a celebration observed in several countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day. It begins the three-day observance of Allhallowtide the time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed. It has been spearded into Vietnam for few years.
WHY IS HALLOWEEN ON OCTOBER 31?
Halloween falls on October 31 because of a pope, and its observances are the result of medieval Catholic piety.

WHERE DOES HALLOWEEN COME FROM?
The day before the Feast of All Saint’s was the feast’s evening vigil, “All Hallows Even,” or “Hallowe’en.”

WHY DO PEOPLE DRESSED UP IN COSTUMES?
The French dressed up on All Souls, not Halloween; and the Irish, who had Halloween, did not dress up. How the two became mingled probably happened first in the British colonies of North America during the 1700s when Irish and French Catholics began to intermarry.
WHY DO PEOPLE SAY" TRICK AND TREAT"
November 5, Guy Fawkes Day, became a great celebration in England, and so it remains. During the penal periods, bands of revelers would put on masks and visit local Catholics in the dead of night, demanding beer and cakes for their celebration: trick or treat!
Guy Fawkes Day arrived in the American colonies with the first English settlers. But by the time of the American Revolution, old King James and Guy Fawkes had pretty much been forgotten. Trick or treat, though, was too much fun to give up, so eventually it moved to October 31, the day of the Irish-French masquerade.

HOW DOES THE WITCH BECOME A PART OF THE HALLOWEEN?
The greeting card industry added them in the late 1800s. The Halloween card failed but the witches stayed.

Nhận thấy được sự bức thiết của việc tạo ra một môi trường học tập, một sân chơi lành mạnh cho các bạn học sinh đam mê, yêu thích Tiêng Anh và muốn trao dồi, rèn luyện thêm các ký năng giao tiếp, hôm nay, ban chủ nhiệm câu lạc bộ quyết đinh hoạt động câu lạc bộ trở lại. Mục tiêu trong năm này sẽ cố gắng làm được nhiều hoạt động bổ ích, có ý nghĩa hơn năm ngoái, thúc đẩy và phát triển hơn phong trào học Tiêng Anh của các bạn trong trường THPT Lê Quý Đôn. Vì thế, ban chủ nhiệm Câu lạc bộ kêu gọi các thành viên cũng như các bạn đam mê, yêu thích Tiếng Anh trong trường cúng hành động để góp phần phát triêng câu lạc bộ nào !!!!!🎊🎊🎊

Buổi sinh hoạt câu lạc bộ diễn ra hàng tuần vào thứ 5. Một buổi sinh hoạt đầy ý nghĩa sau kì nghỉ Tết vừa qua 😂

🎉🎉Tet is coming nearer and nearer with us. There are many things making the unique attract of this occasion such as its purpose, its origin, its traditional activities etc. And we cannot skip the existence of the Vietnamese cuisine in Tet. Have you ever wondered how familiar the "pure Vietnamese" dishes such as: Chung cake, sticky rice, rolls, ... are so familiar to us? It is not enough to speak English well, being a Vietnamese, we need to understand and describe our country's specialties for foreign tourists. This has both increased your vocabulary and helped you be more confident when introducing your Western friends to your country! This week, to know clearly about special aspect, Le Quy Don English Club decided to choose it to discuss. And this article will suggest to you a few brief introduction about traditional Vietnamese dishes as well as some extremely useful vocabulary!

+ CHUNG CAKE ( full name Stuffed sticky rice cake)
“Stuffed sticky rice cake” is one the most traditional special foods for the lunar new year in Viet Nam. It is made of sticky rice, pork and green bean, all ingredients are wrapped inside a special leaf which calls Lá D**g. The rice and green bean have to be soaked in water for a day. The pork is usually seasoned with pepper & salt for several hours. Banh Chung is boiled for 6 or 8 hours. Nowadays, families in villages still maintain making stuffed sticky rice cake before the lunar New Year but people in the cities do not. They don’t have time to make it and usually go to shops to buy it.”

+ PHO ( PHỞ)
This simple staple consisting of a salty broth, fresh rice noodles, a sprinkling of herbs and chicken or beef, features predominately in the local diet. Pho is cheap, tasty, and widely available at all hours.The Hanoi and Saigon styles of pho differ by noodle width, sweetness of broth, and choice of herbs.

+ KEBAB RICE NOODLES ( BÚN CHẢ)
Kebab rice noodles is one of the most delicious dishes. Grilled pork with rice noodles heaping piles of fresh greens, and a dipping sauce. We can eat “Kebab rice noodles” with Crab Spring Rolls, which has crispy on the outside of this spring roll, then strong crab taste with black pepper flavor on the inside.

+ STUFFED PANCAKE ( BÁNH CUỐN)
Rice flour rolls and/or pancakes is a mix dishes that is popular in Red River Delta. It sometimes stuffed with ground pork and onion. They are eaten in a variety of ways with many side dishes, including one out of a million kinds of Cha (Chả), which are Vietnamese meats spiced and flavored in a multitude of ways -often ground to a paste and cooked.

+ CRISPY VIETNAMESE PANCAKE ( BÁNH XÈO)
The Crispy Vietnamese Pancake is made of shrimp and pork, also served with dipping sauce. It origins from Korea and Japan and is most popular in the South of Vietnam.

+ QUANG NOODLES ( MỲ QUẢNG)
A very popular yet extremely complicated noodle dish. Also originating from Quang Nam, Mi Quang varies in its preparation and features very sharply contrasting flavors and textures in (if prepared properly) a shallowly filled bowl of broth, noodles, herbs, vegetables, and roasted rice chip.
