THIS MIGHT BE DOUBTFUL, BUT IS THE LOW-FALLING BROKEN (DẤU NẶNG) ALWAYS THE LOWEST TONE IN VIETNAMESE? 🧐

In Viet Nam, children were taught that the low-falling broken tone (dấu nặng) is the lowest tone among the 6 tones, but is it really always accurate?

This might be debatable but when I was making a deep research about tone in Vietnamese, I realized that the low-falling broken tone (dấu nặng) is not really that low in the NORTHERN DIALECT. Specifically, the lowest pitch of "Dấu nặng" is still higher than than lowest pitch of "Dấu huyền".

This topic is open for discussion, hopefully we'll have a better explanation so that foreign learners can have a better understanding about Vietnamese tones 🤓
