We’re excited to welcome Natalie Rusk, Research Scientist at the MIT Media Lab’s Lifelong Kindergarten Group, to the Asia Pacific Computer Science Education Conference (APCSE 2025).

Natalie and her team are the creators of OctoStudio, a free mobile coding app by the Scratch team at MIT Media Lab that brings coding and creative learning to the mobile world allowing students to design, code, and create interactive projects anytime, anywhere.

At APCSE 2025, Natalie will also lead a hands-on OctoStudio workshop, where educators will learn how to bring this playful and powerful tool into their classrooms. You’ll discover how OctoStudio fosters creativity, collaboration, and computational thinking through real-world classroom examples and student-driven design.
