What is good at a in Vietnam?
Setting up a library is a common we recommend at Green Summers, especially at remote villages in Delta . This really brings big changes to the children who read only half of a book per year in average.
Come on , come and make . Do this in addition to other marvelous cultural immersion experience.

Merry Christmas πΊ, and Happy New Year π.
πππππ ππππππ everyone!
We are back with our "Say YES to Monday's!" Letβs fuel this week with an inspiring and meaningful story! π
I am sure we have all heard and seen stories of regions in Viet Nam, where the living standard has not yet reached the level of convenience or comfort we are having here in Sai Gon. And surely, we have also heard of the goodness of many organizations and volunteers spending their time trying to improve that situation day by day. YES! That brought us to the inspiring story today of Mr. Long and his journey with Green Summers.
Established in 2010, Green Summers is the result of Mr. Longβs own experience in community activities. He was helping a small family build and reconstruct their house. From there, he realized this was something practical and no longer a daydream, but rather a dream come true for many people. Nowadays, Green Summers organizes trips for international students to Viet Nam to carry out community services that will bring about changes in the localsβ living conditions. These activities can range from building bookshelves, roads, houses, and even toilets for schools mainly across the countryside of Viet Nam. Through these experiences, volunteers will in turn learn the meaning of community activities and understand the sense of responsibility to feel, to share the burdens and joy, and to make our world a better place for everyone.
Throughout the journey, the biggest challenge for him particularly, and Green Summers generally has been the prejudice from society since people question their purposes, and the motives of their goodness. Besides, they also have difficulty in acquiring licenses and funds.
Still, they have managed to overcome the challenges with the passion for what they have been doing. As a piece of advice for starters, he emphasized that emotion and passion for what you want to do are the most important elements. These factors will help you endure and overcome the hardship on your career path. Also, donβt be afraid to think out of the box and try out your new ideas as great things never came from comfort zones. π‘
