Our fifth-grade boys and girls are leading the way as they learn the responsibility, respect, and proper care involved in diligently raising and displaying the United States of America and the United States Virgin Islands flag each day. 🇻🇮🇺🇸

A special THANK YOU to Monitor Gomez for taking the time to guide our students and teach them this important responsibility. Through moments like these, our students are learning leadership, discipline, pride, respect, and service. 🌟

We are ever so thankful for the generosity and continued support shown to our students at Yvonne E. Milliner-Bowsky Elementary School! 🐟✨

A special thank you to the Virgin Islands Conservation Society (VICS), Virgin Islands Waste Management, and Sheena Ritter for donating three brand-new waste cans to support our Recycling Club and our students’ efforts to recycle plastic bottles. ♻️🌎💚

We are also extremely grateful for the generous donation of school supplies from Dr. Gail Wint to support our ESL/ELL students. 📚✏️🖍️🎒 Every contribution helps provide our Marlins with the tools and resources they need to learn, achieve, and succeed!

☀️💦 LET’S STAY HYDRATED, MARLINS! 💦☀️

Parents and guardians, it is HOT outside! 🥵🌡️ With these high temperatures, we want to make sure all of our students stay safe, cool, and hydrated throughout the school day.

We are asking ALL parents to please send your child to school EVERY DAY with a sufficient amount of water. 💧

🧊 Hydration Tips:
💦 Freeze a bottle of water the night before so it stays cold longer.
💦 Send your child with a large insulated thermos or water bottle filled with cold water.
💦 Remind your child to drink water throughout the day, especially during recess and outdoor activities.

Please do not send students to school without water. Let’s work together to keep our Marlins hydrated, healthy, and ready to learn! 💙💛🐟

Our students are engaged, working hard, and showing what they know as they complete their i-Ready Beginning-of-the-Year Assessments! 🧠📊 These assessments help our educators identify students’ strengths, determine areas for growth, and plan meaningful instruction to meet every learner where they are.
