Reading Room V.I. Offering Professional Private Lessons in reading, writing and spelling. Group sessions as well as individualized sessions are available, by appointment.

The Reading Room is a SELF-PACED, enrichment & remedial program - for gifted students, as well as students who struggle with reading/writing skills, or simply require additional help mastering the art of reading.

“Readers/Members” meet after school at RRVI, and use technological devices (imacs, macbooks, ipads, kindles) and printed materials to engage in levelled reading, read-alouds, and shared/

guided reading/writing. During school closures: Easter (spring), summer and Christmas (winter) breaks; lessons are on an appointment basis. All methods employed at RRVI are research based (best practices) and promoted by the IRA to improve reading (literacy). Before becoming a member, students’ are assessed (tested) to determine their reading levels (independent, instructional and frustration). This allows proper (group/schedule) placement and is designed for easier and accurate book selection (just right books). Established in 2012, to serve the Virgin Islands � � and now - the wider world (with our digital and printed resources).
