There’s something extra special about little hands making something with love. This morning our toddlers rolled up their sleeves, baked banana bread, and then took their freshly made treats from classroom to classroom to share with their friends and teachers.
At St. Croix Montessori & World School, we believe childhood should be filled with moments that make children feel happy, capable, connected, and proud. Yes, our students are learning practical skills, following steps, working together, and creating something delicious. But they are also learning the beautiful feeling of giving to others simply because it brings joy.
Watching their little faces light up as they delivered their banana bread reminded us why what we do is so special. The most meaningful lessons aren't found in a workbook, sometimes they're found in a warm loaf of banana bread, a proud little smile, and the simple joy of making someone else's day a little sweeter.
