💛🔎 Learning Beyond the Classroom! 🌼☀️

Ms. Battiste’s little PreK explorers were on a Yellow Color Hunt around our school! 🕵🏽‍♀️🕵🏽‍♂️ They searched high and low for things in nature and their surroundings that were yellow. 🌻🌞

Once they spotted something yellow, our little learners recorded their discoveries by drawing them in their Little Explorer Books! 📖✏️

What a fun way to learn, explore, observe, and connect classroom learning to the world around them! 💛🌎

Our tiny explorers now know that learning doesn’t have to stay inside the classroom—sometimes the best classroom is the world around us! 🌟👏🏽

🌟 Show-Up & Shine Stars! August Perfect Attendance Celebration🌟

We are incredibly proud to celebrate 237 of our 462 students who achieved perfect attendance during the month of August! That means 51% of our student body showed up every school day and made attendance a priority. 👏🏽🎉

These students demonstrated that every day counts. By showing up each day, they gave themselves another opportunity to learn, grow, connect, and succeed.

The 7th Graders put their scientific thinking to the test with a hands-on Paper Towel Absorbency Experiment!

Students tested different brands of paper towels to determine which one was the most absorbent. After collecting and analyzing their data, they used the CER (Claim, Evidence, Reasoning) framework to communicate their findings.

Claim: What did they conclude?
Evidence: What did their data show?
Reasoning: How does the evidence support their claim?

This performance task allowed our students to practice making evidence-based conclusions while developing their skills as young scientists!
