Our guest archaeologist, Grace Barrentine, shared fascinating treasures uncovered beneath Prince Street, sparking curiosity, questions, and lots of excitement among our students.

We loved seeing our students discover that history isn’t just in books—it can be right beneath our feet!

🥁 Steelpan Premiere at St. Mary! 🇻🇮🎶

What an exciting day at St. Mary Catholic School! Our students were introduced to the Steelpan Program today by none other than the talented Mr. Noel Wynter!

The students had an absolute blast discovering the sounds and rhythms of this beautiful Caribbean tradition. We can’t wait to see where their musical journey takes them!

St. Mary Catholic School Awards Ceremony 2025–2026

June 12, 2026 was a day of pride, joy, and celebration at St. Mary’s as we honored the achievements of our outstanding students during our Awards Ceremony for the 2025–2026 school year.

Students from Grades 1–6 proudly received Certificates of Excellence from our Principal, Sr. Edith, in recognition of their hard work, dedication, and academic accomplishments throughout the year. The smiles on their faces reflected the excitement and pride of reaching their goals.

We are especially proud of our students whose achievements extended beyond the classroom. Three of our students scored above average on the Iowa Assessments, demonstrating exceptional academic performance and a commitment to excellence. We also congratulate all students who earned Honor Roll recognition this year.

These accomplishments would not be possible without the unwavering support of our parents and the dedication of our teachers. Thank you for your partnership, encouragement, and belief in our students. Together, we continue to nurture young minds and inspire success.

As we celebrate another successful school year, we invite families seeking a faith-filled, academically strong, and caring learning environment to become part of the St. Mary’s family. Here, students are encouraged to discover their talents, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
