A Prayer for Today

As a new day begins, may we pause and invite God into our conversations, our decisions, and our relationships.

Whether you are a current student, parent, staff member, alumnus, or part of our wider school family, may this prayer remind us of the power of listening before responding, choosing patience over frustration, and offering kindness instead of criticism.

May our words today encourage the weary, strengthen those who are struggling, and reflect the love of Jesus in every interaction.

May our conversations bring peace, our words bring encouragement, and our lives honor God.

Have a blessed and meaningful day from all of us at St. Thomas–St. John Seventh-day Adventist School.

I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” — Philippians 4:13

Some days, the challenges may feel bigger than our strength. The responsibilities may seem overwhelming, and we may wonder, “How will I get through this?”

But we are reminded that our strength does not come from ourselves—it comes from Christ.

Whatever today brings, we can face it with courage, faith, and confidence, knowing that Christ strengthens us for every challenge and every assignment He places before us.

So today, don’t focus on what you cannot do. Focus on who is strengthening you.

We can do all things through Christ!

Morning Devotional Thought

There is something powerful about beginning the day with love and kindness. Just like the daisies in this picture brighten their space without effort, God calls us to brighten the lives of others simply by reflecting His character.

Scripture reminds us in Ephesians 4:32 to “be kind one to another, tenderhearted…” Kindness is not weakness — it is spiritual strength. It is evidence that God is working in us, shaping our hearts to look more like His.

Today, let your words carry gentleness.
Let your actions carry compassion.
Let your presence carry peace.

You may never know whose heavy heart is lifted because you chose kindness. But heaven sees it, and God uses it.

May your day be blessed, purposeful, and filled with opportunities to make a quiet difference.

Good morning, Parents and Guardians.
Due to the districtwide power outage, the St. Thomas St. John SDA School will begin classes today with a delayed start at 9:00 A.M.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed.
