Bring your bikes, scooters, skateboards, and roller blades, and meet us under the solar awning after school to kick off the weekend together in style! (Please note that helmets for children are **required**). Our wonderful PTA will have pizza and drinks available for sale.

💥 At Both Ends of the VIMSIA Journey

Meet our newest student, 12-month-old Lucas Shoupe, pictured on his very first day this week! Lucas is already a trooper, taking that ferry every morning from St. John to come to school. ⛴️

Next to Lucas is 12th-grader Abella Maynard (who started here way back as a toddler like Lucas!) having a moment this week on the very same stairs that she and her sister helped paint and make their own over the years. 🖌️

From first steps to graduation, your children can grow up at VIMSIA!

Montessori Family Orientations went off without a hitch! New parents at all levels had the opportunity to sit down with their teaching teams and get to know their child's classroom and routines. They asked plenty of great questions, and heard about class expectations, schedules, and Montessori practices that can be replicated at home.

We love welcoming families to these environments where your children spend so much time!

Thanks to everyone who joined us for Welcome Back Night! New VIMSIA families and familiar faces came together to kick off the school year with music (shoutout to Ms. Bryd for providing a live soundtrack 🎸!), community, and that unbeatable VOLTS spirit.

Montessori children sang the school song, and we heard welcoming words from our Head of School and PTA, as well as an update from the team leading our campus rebuild. Here's to another wonderful year, VOLTS!⚡

Reminder for TOMORROW EVENING: All families are invited and encouraged to attend Welcome Back Night, as we kick off the 2026–2027 school year with this vibrant community gathering! The fun starts at 5:30pm under the solar awning. Here's what's in store:

● Social Meet & Mingle with fellow families; drinks and snacks will be on sale
● Head of School Address
● Meet members of your 2026–2027 PTA!
● All teachers will be present to connect and welcome you!
● Volunteer Info for upcoming events like Las Vegas Night and Carni-Fall

PLUS: From 6:30 – 7:30pm, the PGIA will host an Open House to hear about the year ahead!
