One week ago, our organizers sent this letter to Senator Carla Joseph. We are requesting that she call a legislative committee hearing to investigate the Board of Elections. As of today, her office hasn’t even bothered to respond.

The Legislature has the power to investigate the Board of Elections. The Rules of the Legislature and the VI Code allows the Legislature to issue subpoenas for both documents and testifiers.

Our Demands:

The immediate investigation and public hearing by the 34th Legislature of violations of the VI Code and the public trust in the 2022 General Election including:

Denial of poll watchers during the early voting period of the General Election by the Supervisor of Elections under the authority of the Board of Elections;

The lack of written administrative protocols for the testing, tagging, and sealing of voting equipment; and

The issuance of administrative policies that violate the VI Code, specifically regarding the number and identity of poll watchers that could be designated by political candidates.

The MASSIVE corruption and mismanagement in the WAPA-Vitol Propane Conversion deal means that people who cannot afford generators will be in the dark during the holiday season.

Immediate investigation of the 2022 General Election by the US Department of Justice:

1. Use of $25 gas coupons as an illegal incentive to vote for a gubernatorial candidate.

2. Denial of poll watchers during the early voting period of the General Election by the Supervisor of Elections.

3. The participation of a foreign elected official in campaign activities and advertisements of a gubernatorial candidate.
