Held in recognition of National Mentoring Month, this initiative highlights the power of mentorship and meaningful connection in shaping students’ futures.

The Clarity Advantage Series | Clarity in Culture
This final post in the Clarity Advantage Series centers on the most foundational leadership truth—culture. Everything we’ve explored this month, from communication to decision-making, ultimately rises or falls on the culture leaders create.
“Culture eats strategy for breakfast.” Peter Drucker
Strong strategies fail when culture is unclear. Leaders can design plans and set priorities, but culture determines what actually gets done. It is shaped daily by what leaders tolerate, reward, and ignore. When expectations are inconsistent or accountability is selective, culture doesn’t pause, it forms anyway.
This is why culture matters so deeply. Clarity in culture is how strategy becomes lived behavior. It determines whether values are practiced or merely posted.
Before evaluating why a strategy isn’t working, leaders must ask:
Have I been clear about the behaviors this strategy requires to succeed?
Leadership that models this matters.
