THIS IS YEAR FIVE!🥳🤩☺️

From our littlest learners to our high schoolers, these are the faces of Imagination Academy VI. We’ve officially wrapped up Week Two, and our hearts are full as we step into another year of learning, growing, discovering and becoming together.

Our first day of school photos is one of our favourite IAVI traditions, and this year, they feel even more special. From the little ones just beginning their school journey with us, to the older ones who have grown right before our eyes, these faces tell the story of Imagination Academy better than we ever could.

Five years later, we remain incredibly grateful for every child we get to guide and every family who continues to trust us with their most precious gifts. Here’s to YEAR FIVE and another year of raising happy, healthy, whole children!😊💙🇻🇬

The Beauty of Small Beginnings… 🤩😍🥹

A few days ago, we introduced you to our Toddler’s House. Today, we’d love to introduce you to two very special little people… our very first toddlers. One began this journey at just 18 months old, the other at 2 years old. Watching their growth over the past year has been one of the greatest privileges of our work.

Rather than tell you what makes Imagination Academy different, we’d rather show you. What you don’t see is the careful introduction of each lesson. Then comes the most important part… we step back, giving the child the freedom to return, practice, discover, and master each skill through repetition and joyful work.

Their independence didn’t happen overnight. It blossomed one lesson, one repetition, and one small victory at a time. If you’ve ever wondered what purposeful learning looks like for toddlers, this is it.

🍽️🏝️🎨More Than An Exhibition 🎨🏝️🍽️

Ever wondered what happens when children are given the freedom, tools, and encouragement to create? Yesterday, our Creativity, Culture, and Cuisine Exhibition gave the community a chance to see exactly that.

From artwork and tourism projects to food, nutrition, and health displays, our students proudly shared a year’s worth of learning, creativity, and discovery. We were honoured to welcome our Premier, Ministers of Government, Deputy Governor, Ministry of Education officials, media houses, community partners, families, and friends into our environment to celebrate alongside us.

It’s that time of year again at Imagination Academy VI!🥳🤩

Each year, our students proudly showcase the learning, creativity, and hard work that have filled their classrooms throughout the school year. What began as an art exhibition has continued to evolve, and this year our event has expanded into a Creativity, Culture & Cuisine Exhibition featuring student artwork, tourism and cultural projects, and food, nutrition and health displays.

We’re especially excited because, for the first time, we’ve decided to open this experience to the wider community.

Before the day ends, we want to wish all of our incredible IAVI moms a very Happy Mother’s Day! Thank you for the love, care, support, and encouragement you pour into our students each day. We truly appreciate all that you do!☺️

Each child took home a small papaya seedling from Gardening Class as a token of our love and appreciation. Thank you for helping us grow!🌱

We also happily shared some of the wonderful health benefits of papaya and encouraged our moms to plant their seedlings in their home gardens as a reminder of the power of papaya and the beauty of growing our own food.💪🏾

To all of our IAVI moms, thank you for helping us plant seeds not only in gardens, but in hearts. Your love helps our children bloom in beautiful ways, and for that, we are forever grateful!🥰

🚌📘Montessori on Wheels-MOW📘🚌

In March, Ms. Sharia attended The Montessori Event by the American Montessori Society in Washington, D.C., the largest Montessori conference on this side of the world, gathering over 4,000 Montessorians. Each year, she returns with something special for our students, but this year’s gift carried a story that truly moved us.

After briefly meeting Tatenda Blessing Muchiriri at last year’s conference in Colorado, she had the beautiful opportunity to reconnect with his work this year; purchasing and having him personally sign his inspiring book, Montessori on Wheels. This heartfelt children’s book tells the true story of a mobile Montessori classroom, an actual bus (affectionately called “Rungano”) that has been transformed into a vibrant learning space. Through beautiful illustrations and real-life photographs, the story captures how this bus travels into communities, bringing hands-on Montessori materials, curiosity, and opportunity directly to children… turning everyday stops into places of discovery!

When Ms. Sharia returned, she gathered the children and read the story aloud. The room was filled with wonder. You could see their imaginations come alive as they realized that learning doesn’t have to stay in one place… it can move, reach, and meet people wherever they are.

Tatenda, thank you for your vision, your heart and your commitment to making education accessible in such a meaningful way. Your story is traveling far beyond wheels. It reached the shores of the British Virgin Islands, and our students absolutely love it!😊❤️🇻🇬

Today, we pause not just to celebrate an achievement, but to honour a journey; one marked by vision, sacrifice, discipline and unwavering purpose. Please join us in extending our heartfelt congratulations to our Founder and Principal, Ms. Sharia, on earning her Master’s Degree in Montessori Leadership with a 4.0 GPA and recommendations to publish her writings!

This milestone is more than a personal accomplishment. It is a powerful investment in the future of Imagination Academy VI and in the reimagining of education across the Virgin Islands. To lead a school is no small task. To build one, nurture it, and carry its vision daily requires a level of commitment that often goes unseen.

And yet, in the midst of it all, she chose to stretch, to grow, to go deeper. She chose to learn, not just for herself, but for every child, every teacher, every family connected to this community. She embodies what it means to be a lifelong learner, showing our students in real time that growth never stops, that excellence is a journey, and that purpose is something we pursue with intention.

Ms. Sharia, we are incredibly proud of you! We celebrate you! We honour you! And we thank you for leading with courage, conviction and love! Congratulations on this remarkable achievement‼️🤩👏🏾🎓🥳
