One of my greatest sadnesses as a principal is watching people limit their own potential.

People often think graduation is the biggest moment.
It isn't.

While her classmates were preparing for their graduation, at age 16 she was preparing to give birth to her first baby.

Natoya had silently put that goal of graduating on a back burner for many years. But at age 39 her mentor, (spiritual mother) and a compassionate teacher ignited the desire again to become a high school graduate.

She began to bring that goal on the front burner, worked hard and proudly received her certificate!

From now on, she will always be referred to as a "High School Graduate" and you can too.
