UCAB Harvard National Model United Nations

Last weekend we had the pleasure of participating and organizing the LATAM HNMUN Sim alongside delegations from Colombia and Venezuela.

It was a really thorough practice for all our delegates and an amazing way of connecting with our country neighbors and fellow delegates in a unique online experience!

We would like to congratulate them all and also our delegates for another outstanding performance! There are 94 days left for HNMUN and we can't wait to take part!

Even though we closed our first stage for UCAB HNMUN it is all about making every circumstance and opportunity ours. This is why during our summer break our warriors attended DIAGEO MUN. It was a hard fought day in which our newbies poured their hearts out debating and negotiating. We are really thankful to for the opportunity and are supper excited for the results of this SIM.

Last week we had our Strategic Research presentation, and thanks to our beautiful elder we shared how to create effective strategies that lead to useful knowledge for committee for MOVENU Sim and for HNMUN on February!

We continue to get going through adversities and every sunday continue to prepare for whatever may come for us! @ Caracas

Last sunday we had our 3rd meeting were we went over HNMUN's rules of procedure. It was a truly intense and conteful sunday meeting and we finish by proving our delegates over an exciting game of "Who wants to be a millionare (Rules edition)"

And also our dear newbie Karlos Gilly ()for being the last week's best delegate. We have just started our road towards Boston but we are in full motion!

Harvard National Model United Nations officially adjourned. We had an amazing experience and congratulate all Venezuelan delegations, especially for achieving the Best International Delegation award.

Three H’s defined our nine months of preparation, and it was no different in these four days. Per Aspera, Ad Astra.

Today we had our first day of study at the Boston Public Library where we started polishing our strategy for committee. @ Boston Public Library

Just one day before we leave, we want to take the opportunity to present our Faculty Advisors: Nicola Yammine and María Fernanda Fernández. Nicola studied law and was an active student representative, going as far as to be the Counselor for Identity and Student Development (or IDEES for short). He is currently the Executive Director of Beca Un Pana. Nicola attended HNMUN three times, winning Honorable Mention (2015) and Outstanding Delegate (2017). Finally, he served as Head Delegate for the 21st delegation, which won both the Best Large Delegation and the Best International Delegation. Fufi also graduated from law school and currently works at Baker McKenzie as Junior Associate at the Corporate Law Department (fun fact: she is our Finance Delegate’s boss). She attended HNMUN three times, winning Outstanding Delegate in 2016 and 2017 (as a single delegate, might we add), and was also a member of the 21st. With their very strict and disciplined approach to teaching, but being at the same time approachable and trustworthy, they have been the string that tied us all together ever. Their help is invaluable, and for that we are very grateful. Thank you for always being there for us!
