Jordan Casts Another Voodoo Spell With This Alternate Air Jordan 1 For Zion Williamson

Just over a year ago, Jordan Brand crafted a special Air Jordan 1 Low OG release inspired by Zion Williamson’s roots in the Bayou. Now, the team at the Jumpman casts an alternate spell, reviving this past release with new colors.

Featuring the same materials, details, and design touches inspired by voodoo dolls, Jordan Brand delivers this spooky take on this modern classic with purples, greys, and other swampy shades that reflect the culture of New Orleans. A bright, light volt green dawns on the logo hits on the upside-down Nike Air tongue logo as well as the gigantic Wings at the heel, while threads of h**p make up the thick roped laces as well as the delicate stitching that attaches each body part of the sneaker. Pony hair appears on the toe-boxes (not Zion’s actual hair), while images of skulls provide an even creepier, macabre outlook.

It’s not clear whether or not these will hit retail, but given that they were shared by Jordan color designer Kelsey Amy, who is typically tasked with creating one-offs for athletes, a retail drop doesn’t seem likely. Hopefully we’re wrong on that guesstimate, but for now, enjoy the images ahead.

The Nike LeBron Witness 8 “Ashen Slate” Arrives In November

LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers squad couldn’t beat Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns during the preseason, but he’s ready to take on his 21st NBA season head-on.

On the sneaker front, buzz continues to surround the Nike LeBron 21, a design by Jason Petrie inspired by clams protecting their pearls. The budget-friendlier LeBron Witness 8, however, has also enjoyed time in the spotlight given its value-price proposition, as well as a debut collaboration with FaZe Clan.

Before appearing in a full-fledge roster of Lakers-appropriate styles, the Air Max-cushioned sneaker is exploring its options. Recently, a mix of “Ashen Slate,” “Diffused Blue” and “University Blue” landed on the eighth Nike LeBron Witness silhouette. The bulk of the mixed-materials offering dons an almost-grey finish, but supporting accents deviate in stark contrast reminiscent of popular Air Jordan styles. Midsoles opt for a “White” hue that brings more attention to the upper, all while featuring a clear visible Air bubble at the rear foot.

LeBron James Gifts A’ja Wilson A 1-Of-1 LeBron 21 For The WNBA Finals

Two-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson and the defending champion Las Vegas Aces are headed back to the WNBA Finals for a second time in four consecutive years. As the two most star-studded rosters in the League face off against one another this Sunday, the Aces’ five-time All-Star received a special gift ahead of her matchup with the New York Liberty via none other than LeBron James.

At their Wednesday afternoon practice, Wilson was spotted in a black and gold Player Exclusive edition of the Nike LeBron 21. Coated in a supple suede texture from vamp to heel, the overtly premium construction rests on the Aces’ royal gold accent to anchor the remaining embellishments alongside a velvet sock liner. Stricken with a metallic finish, the two-toned model contrasts its pitch-dark surroundings with a gold-foil heel counter, sole unit, lace loops and embroidered medial swoosh while the lateral insignia is only visible by a singular outline.

Awarded the League’s Defensive Player of the Year award, Wilson headlined the Beaverton brand’s Nike Cosmic Unity 3 throughout the majority of the 2023 season before making a switch to the LeBron 20. After the official release of his 21st signature silhouette last month, Wilson makes her first official appearance in the LeBron 21 as she looks to secure her third WNBA Championship.

Vans Helps Disney Celebrate 100 Years With Collaborative Collection

Dating back to 2013, Vans and Disney have routinely collaborated for an extensive range of both footwear and products inspired the company’s fanciful amount of fictional characters. With Disney celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2023, the California-based brand is teaming up with The Mouse once again in honor of the historic milestone.

Totaling five separate silhouettes, the collection is kicked off by the OG Vans Authentic cast in monochrome hues bearing embroidered patches depicting Mickey Mouse and his friends; from Donald Duck to Goofy. The low-top trim is also accompanied by the Old Skool, which takes on a scrapbook of illustrations from Moana to Encanto. The company’s villains are also well-represented within the Sk8-Hi, constructed with a pitch-dark canvas base layer and suede accents. The Knu Skool offering leans further into Scar from The Lion King while the Stackform assumes the aesthetic of the poison apple from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Official Images Of The Nike SB Dunk High “Candy Corn” For Halloween 2023

Each and every Halloween, Nike turns up the details on its various lifestyle offerings, embarking upon an annual collection of footwear that effectively captures the holiday’s spooky essence. Having already been revealed to include a jack-o-lantern-inspired Air Force 1 alongside a neon green Nike Ja 1, the recently previewed Nike SB Dunk High “Candy Corn” has since surfaced in official imagery.

Here, the homage to the highly divisive Halloween candy is served up in a number of ways, from the ombre gradient that stretches across the full breadth of the clad-leather upper to the candy corn-adorned tongue tabs that bear warning labels for chipped teeth. White coats the bite-marked forefoot, while the quarter, rope laces and profile swoosh are draped in a vibrant orange hue. Then, the upper collar and heel are placated with a titular yellow finish that further cures the inner lining, pull tab and the trim of the profile swooshes in a seldom suede accent. What’s more, the overt connection to the triangular treat is concluded via an all-out candy corn print laying claim to the graphic insoles.

The Nike Pegasus 40 “Familia” Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month officially kicked off on September 15th, making way for more of Nike’s commemorative “Familia” collection to be revealed. Recently, the Nike Pegasus 40 emerged in a special makeup inspired by the month-long celebration. Similarly colorful as the Air Max 1 “Familia” that surfaced in late August, the running sneaker features a textile upper that indulges in varying shades of pink. Tongues and sockliners boast collection-specific branding, while other components throughout the upper enjoy ornate embroidery, graphics, and more. The Nike React foam midsole keeps things tame in a light brown, allowing both the top-half and traction underfoot to revel in the spotlight with their vibrant color schemes. Nike Adds A Jet-Black Air Force 1 Low To The “Just Do It” Collection

Earlier this summer official images revealed the continuation of Nike’s inline “Just Do It” pack featuring pearlescent finishes and striking cursive dubraes. While the Beaverton brand has kept release details under lock and key, yet another Air Force 1 has entered the mix with a bespoke jet-black palette for the ladies.

From the clad smooth leather upper panels to the mesh tongue and supple satin inner lining, the near entirety of the low-top trim executes a pitch-dark uniform aesthetic. While the sole unit and laces are stamped with further colorless fervor, the metallic lace dubraes shine in opposition thanks to a luminous reflective treatment. Iridescent, diamond-cut profile swooshes and heel tab logos return from the opposing crisp white effort yet deviate from the latter through a pulsing green hue that illuminates the Triple Black surroundings.

Closer Look At The Nike Ja 1 “Halloween”

Ja Morant hasn’t been in the spotlight for much of the past few months, but anticipation for his 2023-24 NBA season continues to grow. His Nike Ja 1 also keeps emerging in new styles, suggesting the Memphis Grizzlies guard and Swoosh plan on moving forward with their relationship for the foreseeable future.

Ahead of October, a Ja 1 “Halloween” surfaced, confirming the South Carolina-native’s participation in Nike’s spooky plans for October. The sneaker is clad in a near-fluorescent green that seemingly glows-in-the-dark. Profile swooshes are adorned with growths and a drab green color that sets the stage for the series of ghastly hands peeking out at the spine. Morant’s signature logo on the tongue label takes on a mismatched arrangement that ostensibly references werewolves and vampire with their color scheme. Underfoot, the sole unit delivers the most tame part of the Nike Ja 1 “Halloween,” as midsoles introduce a cool brown into the mix.

Guo Ailun Receives His Very Own Jordan Legacy 312 PE

Despite having been with the brand for the last six years, Chinese basketball player Guo Ailun has yet to receive his own signature shoe. The Jumpman has, however, offered the athlete countless different PEs, with more heading his way very soon.

After receiving an Air Jordan 37 Low earlier in the year, Guo Ailun is now set to close out 2023 with a special rendition of the Jordan Legacy 312. Much like its predecessors, this player exclusive, too, boasts a cool-toned palette, with light blues applied not only to Guo Ailun’s signature logo but also the adjacent collar, toe cap, outsole, and trims. The rest of the colorway — save for the pop of yellow along the branding and upper eyelets, that is — consists mainly of neutrals. White shades dress the tumbled leathers, heel tab, and lace unit, while greys brush both the suede along the forefoot as well as the Elephant Print-covered panel just behind.

First Look At The Nike Dunk Low “Bacon”

In 2021, Nike revisited the Nike Air Max 90 “Bacon”, the iconic 2004 collaboration with Dave Ortiz and DQM. Now, the infamous cured colorway makes a return on the trendiest Nike shoe on the market – the Dunk Low. Inspired by a package of bacon, Dave Ortiz crafted the perfect color-blocking on the Air Max 90, applying the pork-colored shades of red, brown, and pink onto the silhouette. Now, Nike is porting over the briny flavor to the Dunk Low with a red suede overlay above a sail white base, pink pig shades on the Swoosh and tongue, and brown on the heel and sole. A light tan touches the interior and the laces, achieving a rather proper ex*****on of the colorway. This Dunk Low “Bacon” seems to be an unofficial project and a collaboration with DQM seems unlikely, but stay tuned for more details as we learn more.
