Key competition details are as follows:
Entries will be accepted between September – November 2024 (exact dates to be confirmed). With judging taking place in December.
There are TWO categories, one for PRIMARY students, aged 7-11 and one for SECONDARY students, aged 11-18.
The tasks will be related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11 “Sustainable Cities and Communities”.
*read more on the UN Sustainable Development Goal 11 here:

For each category, students will be given tasks to complete, related to a hypothetical scenario based around this SDG.
Students can enter in teams (we recommend group sizes of 4, although there are no upper, or lower limits to team sizes).
A teacher (or adult) must submit the student entries on their behalf (details of how to do this are to follow and the same teacher can submit multiple team’s entries).
There can be multiple team entries from the same school.
Prizes (to be awarded early 2025) include (for both primary & secondary categories):
1ST PLACE – School lab equipment worth approximately $250 USD, science workshop, Macmillan Education science textbooks, medals, certificates & promotional items.
2ND PLACE – School lab equipment worth approximately $100 USD, Macmillan Education science textbooks, medals, certificates & promotional items.
