Get your Alumni Membership Card!

Kind reminder to all WIUT Alumni that you are offered a wide range of benefits and services after graduation. You can fully make use of WIUT LRC services, Sport Centre and reap special alumni discounts to apply for executive and postgraduate education by getting Alumni Membership Card from WIUT!

How to get Alumni Membership Card?
1️⃣ Come to WIUT SHB (new building) and feel free to book an appointment with Alumni Officer.
2️⃣ Sign a contract and fill in the application form to request a card.
3️⃣ Complete the payment and inform the Officer.

The card will be issued within 3 working days and you become a proud member of the WIUT Alumni Community!

WIUT ALUMNI SUCCESS at National Tech Competition🚀

At a recent event hosted by the Ministry of Digital Technologies in Uzbekistan, the "President Tech Award" celebrated outstanding startup projects, with six WIUT alumni securing victories.

Shakhzod Yovkochev and Murodjon Avezov, visionaries behind the Mentalaba.uz project, clinched the top spot in Digital Technologies in the Social Sphere. Meanwhile, Sardor Sodikov, Madina Shukurova and Sherzod Akhmedov, the brains behind Yemak.uz, secured a remarkable $100,000 prize for leadership in the Entrepreneurship and Financial Technology category. Moreover, Aziz Kodirov showcased brilliance in Computer and Mobile Games with a project named AirPilot.

These competition winners underscore WIUT Alumni's remarkable prowess in technology and entrepreneurship, showcasing their ability to address societal needs through developing innovative projects. Their success contributes to the growth of Uzbekistan's tech and entrepreneurship sector, inspiring future students to follow in their footsteps.

Djakhongir Makhkamov

Bachelor of Science in Business Computing, ‘08

Djakhongir started his career as a software engineer and developed the most used platform at WIUT students SRS system. After gaining the experience in the IT sphere, Djakhongir developed his own start up journey in Cyber Trans leading tech. Furthermore in 2014 Jakhongir relocated to UAE and became the co-founder of LeBazar.ae. In 2015 he became the first employee of Wing, where he led the tech as Head of Product Development. Wing raised investments and later acquired by Amazon. In 2019 Djakhongir moves to Amazon Exports and Expansion team and launches Exports from UAE. During the world pandemic Djakhongir started consulting start-ups of various caliber, including Zip24, Lebazar, and IMAN. Currently, the successful alumni of WIUT is a Tech Adviser in IMAN and a full time Chief of Technology Officer in BARQ - last mile delivery company in KSA.

Khurshid Kodirov '16, BA in Business Administration

Khurshid is an experienced project manager currently focused on running several start-ups of his own in fields of education and management consulting. He is also the co-founder and the CEO of Nyon Consulting company. In the past, Khurshid was the COO at Astrum IT Academy, which is one of the successful projects in Tashkent . Recently, Khurshid won the Study UK Alumni Awards in Business and Innovation category in Uzbekistan and also received Commendation Medal on the 30-th year of Independency of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Khurshid is a talented musician, he released his first musical album at international label and now focusing on his second one.

Durdona Bakhronova, BSc in Business Information Systems, `18

After the graduation in 2018, Durdona started working at WIUT as a Software Engineer. When she developed her coding skills, she received an offer from Innovo.Tech company to continue her career there. This company provides software solutions around the world. Nowadays, Durdona works for Super Dispatch company as a Software Engineer. While she was building her career, Durdona also participated in a great deal of different activities, such us joining the core team of GDG Tashkent community and helped to organize developer festivals and meetups for IT community. She became a community leader of Womentechmakers. She was mentored by the specialists from Autodesk and was a mentor for the ICT4Girls project.
