The Institute of forecasting and macroeconomic research's doctoral students have commenced an introductory course titled "Digitalization and Sustainability – Lessons from Europe" which is being sponsored by ESECBF. By examining the EU's digital finance strategy, the students will gain valuable knowledge on the benefits and obstacles of digital finance, as well as the regulatory structures required for its implementation. The adoption of digital finance technologies by Uzbekistan, a developing country, could enhance financial inclusion and stimulate economic growth. However, in order to reap the full benefits of digital finance, Uzbekistan must address issues like poor infrastructure and limited financial service access. Furthermore, Uzbekistan needs to establish regulations to safeguard consumers and guarantee the security of digital financial transactions.

Students have learnt various ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards that reflect the EU's commitment to promoting sustainability and responsible practices in businesses operating within its borders. Learning about these ESG standards can help students understand the importance of sustainability and responsible business practices, and how they can contribute to creating a more sustainable future. By implementing these standards, the EU is taking steps to ensure that businesses operate in an environmentally and socially responsible manner, which can have a positive impact on the economy, society, and the environment.
