💡🔬 Creativity, curiosity, and innovation took center stage at this year’s Middle School Innovation Fair!

From scientific experiments and engineering prototypes to sustainable solutions inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, students explored real-world challenges through research, design, and hands-on learning.

The fair showcased not only creativity and critical thinking, but also the confidence to ask questions, test ideas, and present solutions to an authentic audience. Across every project, our students demonstrated what learning at UAS is all about: connecting classroom knowledge to meaningful global impact.

🇧🇷🔥 Festa Junina at UAS!

Our Brazilian community, together with the Portuguese class, brought the spirit of Festa Junina to campus with a fun-filled morning celebrating one of Brazil’s most beloved traditions. Students enjoyed traditional games, delicious foods like coxinha, pão de queijo, and popcorn, plus plenty of music, laughter, and Brazilian culture along the way. 🎶✨

“Das fogueiras do campo nasceu uma das festas mais queridas do Brasil.”

🌿🫒 Learning beyond the classroom.

As part of the IB Group 4 Project, our 11th grade students visited Olivas de las Ánimas to explore how science, sustainability, and agriculture connect in the real world. Through the study of olive farming and olive oil production, students investigated environmental challenges, sustainable practices, and the role innovation plays in shaping a more responsible future.

This interdisciplinary experience encouraged collaboration across scientific fields while connecting classroom learning to global issues and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

🎓 Behind every acceptance letter are years of effort, growth, uncertainty, resilience, and discovery.

The Class of 2026 is taking its next steps toward universities around the world, each student choosing a path that reflects their passions, goals, and dreams for the future.

Some will study close to home. Others will move across continents. Some are pursuing science, others arts, business, design, music, or technology. Different journeys, different ambitions, all grounded in the same foundation of curiosity, global perspective, and community.

94% of our seniors were accepted into one of their top two university choices, and we could not be prouder of the people they are becoming.

What does it mean to grow up between cultures, countries, and experiences?

In this parent workshop, Marilyn and Geordon Rendle helped our community reflect on the unique journey of raising globally minded children — supporting them through transitions, building resilience, and helping them feel a sense of belonging wherever they are in the world.

At UAS, these conversations matter because they reflect the heart of our community: connection, empathy, and understanding the experiences that shape our students and families every day. 🌍💙

📚✨ Celebrating a week full of stories, imagination, and creativity

Our community celebrated Book Week with activities that brought reading to life across campus. From special visits by authors and shared story times, to a hallway book fair and our always-anticipated costume parade, students had the opportunity to connect with books in meaningful and joyful ways.

Moments like these help foster curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of reading. 💙
