Hello everyone! 🙋🏻♀️ My name is Patty and I'm an English teacher.
I'm 34 years old and a mother of a beautiful 8-year-old boy, Bruno. I was born in New Jersey, USA and came to live to Uruguay when I was a child. Although English is my mother tongue language, I continued studying it throughout the preparation of different international exams such as the First Certificate in English (FCE), Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) and Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) of the University of Cambridge. Moreover, I worked 6 years for two different American companies in “Zonamerica” which helped me greatly in not only maintaining and enhancing my communicative skills but also in being exposed to an english-speaking environment.
In 2016, I started working with preschoolers at the bilingual school “Colegio Lagomar”. I felt so passionate about the world of teaching that I decided to become one and in November of 2019, I was awarded with the Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CertTESOL) by Trinity College London.
Now I work as a full-time English teacher in the areas of primary, and high school at "José Pedro Varela", helping students of all ages and levels to pursue their goals in learning and becoming better at the language.
