ZM parents: Just a reminder that we no longer provide bus service for the ZM district. We have received numerous calls and emails asking about upcoming school year bus info. Palmer Bus Service now provides the transportation services and they are currently working on bus routes and intend to communicate info to parents by the end of next week. Please have patience as they navigate the new school year. Any questions/concerns can be relayed to the bus shed office that phone number is 507.732.7670. Have a great school year everyone!

On July 1, Palmer Bus Service will purchase Kennedy Transportation of Zumbrota. Formerly Sugar Loaf Bus Service, Kennedy Transportation has been serving the Zumbrota-Mazeppa School District for over three decades. Owners Ashley Kennedy (left) and Scott Kennedy are with their children Brody (12), Wyatt (5), Halle (7), and beloved dog Sable. Today was our last field trip as owners of the school buses! Thank you to the school district as well as the parents of this school district for trusting my family to transport your children for the past 30+ years!! It is definitely bitter sweet but I know the new company will be just fine!! Thank you Zumbrota-Mazeppa!!

30+ years the Kennedy family has been transporting Zumbrota-Mazeppa students and today was the last day we hauled kids home. Thanks to all the ZM teachers and staff, parents,students,coaches and of course our great drivers for being there with us on this journey. It is bittersweet day for us as we close this chapter in our lives,we will miss you all💛

It's School Bus Driver Appreciation Day Wednesday February 23rd! In preparation of the big day ,we are asking for students to think of some creative ways to thank their drivers. Make some cards, sing a song or just take the time to verbally thank you driver .We sure do appreciate all they do!

Parent Reminders:
1. Please keep your child HOME if they are not feeling well, there has been a lot of illness lately and having kids get sick on the bus is not fun for them or us!
2. Masks are still REQUIRED!! This has been a rule for the past 1 1/2 years. Please be respectful of this, remind children to bring a mask and wear it. We have alot of students who are being disrespectful when asked nicely to wear their masks on the bus by the driver.
3. Teach your child how to dress PROPERLY for the weather. We are seeing alot of students not wearing enough winter gear for cold days.... what happens if the bus needs to evacuate for any reason these kids would be freezing in the cold!!!

Great reminder! We have also seen several kids this week with no coats or hats on!

Parents
Please assist your K- 6 students in preparing to head out the door today.
Kids need to be dressed properly.
We are still seeing students that are attempting to board school buses with t- shirts , shorts , crock shoes, no coats, hats or gloves which is a safety concern for all.

Before you leave for work …. make an extra effort to speak up your kids about the dangerously cold temperatures today .
