Sierra Woods Farm Sierra Woods Farm is a Hunter/Jumper facility that provides Boarding, Lessons, Training and Sales services to beginner through advanced riders in the Midwest.

We regularly compete in both the rated and local member Hunter/Jumper shows. Sierra Woods Farm was established in 2005 when Amy Tilson, owner and trainer, struck out on her own after years of working for top trainers Wendy Newby and Tammy Provost. A veteran of the Hunter Jumper world, Amy and her assistant trainers sought to build a business and farm environment that was as enjoyable as it was com

petitive. Sierra Woods has accomplished that goal with stabling for over 40 horses and a very active lesson and showing program. Our horses enjoy outstanding care, regular turnout and a heated facility in the winter. Our riders enjoy a facility that accommodates beginners as young as 5 years old to advanced riders with showing goals. Our showing schedule includes rated and unrated shows throughout the Midwest and the Florida circuit in the winter. Our structured programs include everything from clinics with top visiting professionals to beginner and adult camps. Our facility was designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our friends and their horses. We hope that you enjoy the photos below and stop by next time you are in the area.

We had a such a fun week at Spring Spectacular 2 last week! Lots of new partnerships and learning.

Maggie White stepped into the ring on her new mount Gladstone and earned 🥉 in the Children’s Hunter Classic, as well as being just out of the top 12 in USHJA Jr/Am National Hunter Derby out of a competitive class of 26.

Maggie also showed Katrina Seitz’s Corallo J, for the first time. They were Reserve Champion in the Older Children’s Hunters and 6th in the Children’s Hunter Classic.

Amelia Weddle and her new partner Davidson were Champion in the Novice Equitation division and earned great ribbons in the Low Children’s. This team also won the League/Sidelines 2'6" Child/Adult Medal.

Cherise Marks made her return to the show ring, after 3 years, on her new horse Clifford. They had lots of confidence building rounds and earned themselves a 9th place finish in The League Tiny Bit O' Straw 2' Hunter Derby.

Amy Ochoa and Corallo J won some nice ribbons in the 3’3” Performance Hunters and were 8th in USHJA National Hunter Derby.

We had a great time and are looking forward to returning to Lamplight in July to show again!

Today we said goodbye to one of the best horses I was lucky enough to have in my program. It was a tough day. Max was such a gentleman, a kind, patient teacher. They are all hard to lose but this gentle giant will always have a special place in my heart.

We had a blast at WEC this past weekend!

Reese Howard and Chinchilla ended up champion in the low children’s Hunter with multiple top two finishes, as well as being third in the 2’6 classic!

Amelia Weddle and Nickelback had lots of ribbons in the low children’s hunters, as well as a 6th place finish in the 2’6 classic. Amelia also had a great round in the HJAM medal, finishing 4th!

Maggie white and Catalina HM had a great last show together, with a third place finish in the children’s 3’ classic, as well as a 6th in the THIS children’s medal!
