Five stories. One ZCS community.

From the generations that filled EagleFest to Senior VIPs connecting with students, first-graders exploring a world of books, sixth-graders engineering their own solutions, and Stonegate celebrating a great start to the year, there is a lot to see across ZCS!

See inside our schools. Experience the moments. Every story is part of something bigger.

Voices of ZCS is back! Some stories deserve more than a quick scroll.

Our Voices of ZCS series gives us the opportunity to share the stories of the people who make our schools what they are. We begin this year with Pleasant View Elementary music educator Rebecca Hampton and her story of a career built around helping young people find their voices.

This one is long-form on purpose. We hope you will take the extra click, spend a few minutes reading Rebecca’s story, and watch the video conversation with ZCS Superintendent Dr. Rebecca Coffman inside. It is a chance to get to know not just what one of our educators does, but who she is and why this work matters so much.

These are the people of ZCS. These are their stories.

Meet Rebecca Hampton in our first Voices of ZCS feature of the school year.

EagleFest 2026!

For 42 years, EagleFest has been about so much more than one night. It is families coming together. Teachers connecting with students. Neighbors spending time with neighbors. A community surrounding its young people, and generations discovering what it means to call this place home.

We could share a few photos and tell you it was a great night. But this story deserves so much more than that. Because this is your story.

We hope you will read the story. Scroll through the faces. Watch the video. See the packed stadium. And experience a glimpse of what makes this community so incredibly special.

Then share it. Share it with a neighbor, a graduate, a grandparent, a friend, or someone new to the community. Because this is what happens when schools and community come together.

This is not just any community. This is our community.

The School-Community Connection!

There was something special about seeing our boardroom packed with Senior VIPs eager to learn more about opportunities to connect with our school district and with one another. Some are retired educators. Some are grandparents with children in our schools. Some are community members simply looking for ways to be involved. All bring their experiences and a desire to be part of our schools, and we are so grateful for each of them.

This year, Senior VIP Readers will be working with students in all six ZCS elementary schools.

Senior VIPs also learned about ways to enjoy many performances at the STAR Bank Performing Arts Center at no cost, another wonderful way to stay connected to our students, schools, and community.

Strong schools and strong communities go hand in hand, and our Senior VIP program is one more way we continue building those connections across generations.

Help us spread the word! If you or someone you know would like to learn more about becoming a Senior VIP, reach out to Lynn Kissel at [email protected] for more information.

We appreciate our Senior VIPs and all the ways they continue to be part of !

Step Inside the Classroom at ZCHS, where Peer Art is about so much more than art. Students create side by side, building relationships, encouraging one another, and showing what belonging looks like in action.

There is so much more to this story. Click the link to meet the students, read the full Inside the Classroom feature, and watch the video conversation that brings Peer Art to life.

The recent Zionsville Community High School Clubs and Activities Fair gave students a chance to explore new interests, make connections, and find their place beyond the classroom. So many opportunities to make the ZCHS experience their own.
