Did you know that the first 2013 SAT test date is LESS THAN one month away? That’s right; the first time your son or daughter can take the SAT in 2013 is January 26th! The deadline to register for the SAT is December 28th; will your child be ready?

Starting January 6th, Tahoe Tutors will resume SAT Prep classes. Classes will be Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:30. The cost is $50 per class. But, if you pre-purchase 4 or more classes by January 1, the price drops to $40 per class.

SAT Prep Classes will be every Sunday through May, based on demand. Below is the SAT Prep Class schedule for January.
Sunday, January 6- CRITICAL READING
Sunday, January 13- MATH
Sunday, January 20-WRITING
Sunday January 27-ESSAY

Study Skills time clarification: Class will begin at 6:30pm. Class will be approximately 75 minutes long. All students should bring flash cards, a notebook and something that they are studying for.

SAT related question from a parent: "What book(s) do you recommend for preparing for the SAT?"

Answer: There is only one "must have" book, and that's the College Board's Official Guide to the SAT. This book gives students questions and answers from the real SAT. The best way to practice for the SAT is by doing the real problems.
