ZPS: Learning For Life Digital communication between Board and staff members, parents, and other community members or adults should always be professional.

Partnering with family and community, while recognizing the importance of every individual, Zeeland Public Schools ensures that all students are safe, valued, loved, and learning. This applies to direct communication and to communication to which they reasonably may be exposed. The expected standards of conduct on district-approved social media require all users, including but not limited to students, parents, and members of the general public, to conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous, and professional manner. Unless otherwise protected by law, examples of inappropriate communication include, but are not limited to:

● Communication that violates Board Policy, such as: communications that disclose personally identifiable information about students (see Policy 2003); communication that violates Board Policy against illegal harassment (see Policy 8007); etc.

● Communication that is false or misleading.

● Communication that attributes personal views to others, including the School District, school administration, or other staff members.

● Communication that defames or personally insults staff members or students, or otherwise undermines any staff member’s ability to fulfill their responsibilities to the School District or its students.

● Communication that defames or personally insults Board members, parents, or community members and is not otherwise protected by law (AR 8009)

Adams Elementary knows how to STICK the landing on a great week!

Students who participated in the fundraiser earned the chance to duct-tape Mr. Gronevelt to the wall, and they took this task VERY seriously! 🤣

Thanks for being a great sport, Mr. G!

One week ago this morning, Bird Bowl Day started with something bigger than football.

Before East and West met under the lights, EMPOWER brought together students, athletes, cheerleaders, families, staff, and friends from across Zeeland Public Schools for an afternoon centered on encouragement and belonging.

Touchdowns were scored. Cheers were LOUD. Smiles were everywhere. And on a day usually defined by green and gold on opposite sides, Zeeland came together as ONE community. ZLinks

A week later, we’re still smiling about it.

Thank you to everyone who made EMPOWER such a meaningful part of Bird Bowl and such a special tradition for our students!

A little treat, a little information, and a big next step for PBIS.

Our team made the rounds with a treat cart and informational flyers introducing the next phase of our PBIS work: a new system designed to recognize students when they demonstrate the positive behaviors outlined in our schoolwide expectations!

PBIS is a piece of our MTSS work, helping us set clear expectations, reinforce positive choices, and celebrate students when they get it right.

And yes, snacks made the rollout a little more fun. 🍬🍪🍫

Check out our Unified Soccer athletes! ⚽ They took on ZPS staff this week, and the competition was fierce, but the teamwork and Zeeland pride were even better.

And those team shirts? Student-designed and student-produced! Gavin Rooisen created the design, and Mr. Linderman’s Business Management class brought it to life.

That’s .

We're almost at the end of our School Resource Officer spotlight series, and what a journey it has been! 🏫

Before we wrap things up, we're on our second-to-last spotlight and have another incredible deputy to introduce today. These spotlights have been a wonderful way to share the amazing men and women who show up every single day for our students across Ottawa County.

Deputy David Thompson is an SRO at Zeeland Public Schools. Deputy Thompson is nearing his first year at Zeeland and has loved every second.

One final spotlight still to come; stay tuned! 🙌

For weeks, our German guests are experiencing life in Zeeland!

Their itinerary is LOADED, with activities like gym class at our ZPS Early Childhood Center, classroom visits, homecoming, Pumpkinfest, apple orchards, downtown Zeeland, Hope College, AND time with the families who have welcomed them in!

Mr. Velderman's leadership of our German-American Exchange Program is creating something pretty special for students on both sides of the Atlantic: real relationships, real cultural understanding, and memories that will last long after the suitcases are packed.

Danke, Mr. Velderman, our host families, and EVERYONE helping make Zeeland feel like home for our guests! 🇩🇪
