Recognizing Our Technology Team 💻🏴‍☠️

At last night’s Pike County Board of Education meeting, we recognized Director of Technology Richard Hendrix and Network Administrator Matt Westbrook with a Portrait of a Graduate coin for their hard work and dedication in preparing our district for the new school year!

In addition to their day-to-day responsibilities, our Technology Department took on a few major projects recently:

💻 Deployed 300+ laptops across all schools to ensure staff are ready for the year.

🛡️ Trained staff on Securly, our new platform designed to enhance student online safety and help schools identify potentially concerning digital activity.

📢 Collaborated with Audio Enhancement to install and set up a new district-wide intercom and communication system with built-in safety features to support clear, reliable communication across our schools.

We appreciate the countless hours, planning, and problem-solving that Richard and Matt have put in behind the scenes to make these projects happen.
