Please make me understand why we can’t bring chairs into graduation.. Some people are not able to climb them bleachers or sit on them for long periods of time..
Looking for information on how to donate to the lunchrooms to pay off school lunch debt. Anyone?
Way to go Pike Middle wrestlers on your win against Monticello!
My prayers are with everyone affected by this tragedy😥
In celebration of the first home football game this Friday, here’s a video to share! Go Pirates! ❤️🖤

Is there a date set for Prom 2019?? I need to know the date for family calendar reasons. Thanks
Someone better hurry up and post some graduation clarifications... we are hearing all kinds of things! From dress code changes to no umbrellas... also i think having graduation in the rain will limit family members being able to attend. Elderly and anyone with health issues cannot sit in the pouring rain ! Please clarify ASAP!
With the upcoming forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday, has there been any announcements of school closing?

We have been made aware of some unfounded rumors regarding tonight's Board of Education meetings. We want to be clear about a couple of concerns that have been mentioned:

1. The Board has no intention of implementing a mask mandate for students or staff. Masks are encouraged but not required.
2. The Board has no intention of requiring anyone, either students or staff, to be vaccinated for COVID-19.

Neither of these items are on the agendas for tonight's meetings. The agendas for tonight's meeting may be accessed on our website at any time or by clicking on the following links:

Any student that attends the Middle School, Ninth Grade Academy, PCAP, or High School that did not pick up his or her meals for the week from the school on Monday may do so this afternoon (Wednesday, September 1st). Meal pick up will be at the Middle School from 4-6 PM. Students that received meals on Monday are not eligible to pick up additional meals.

[08/27/21]   Students from Pike County Middle School, Ninth Grade Academy, and Pike County High School may pickup their school meals for next week at the Middle School between 4:00pm - 6:00pm on Monday, August 30, 2021.

[08/26/21]   As most of you know, our school system has been hit hard with both Positive Cases of COVID-19 and the requirement that we quarantine students and staff that are identified as a close contact to each positive case. Our district is now at a place where we have a large percentage of students and staff at grades 6-12 who are not able to come to work or school. We are also having those same challenges with our bus drivers and are having difficulty getting all of the routes covered. As a result, our district has made the difficult decision for the Middle School, the Ninth Grade Academy, PCAP, Zebulon High, and Pike County High School to transition to distance learning beginning next Monday. We will reopen for in-person learning on Tuesday, September 7. Pre-K, Primary, and Elementary schools will remain open for in-person learning.

Tomorrow will be a very important day at your child’s school. The teachers will discuss with students how we will be working next week and what the expectations will be for students regarding their assignments. Students should be prepared tomorrow to take everything home with them that they will need to be successful during our distance learning week. Students that are involved in athletics and other after school extra curriculars will receive information from their coaches and directors regarding plans for next week.

We know that the last couple of weeks have been frustrating for our staff, students, and community. Our hope is that next week gives everyone a chance to get healthy and allow quarantines to expire so that we are all ready for a fresh start on September 7. Tomorrow is business as usual. See you in the morning!

Please direct all questions to your child's school.

Congratulations to Liz Ward! She completed an internship with the Pike UGA Agriculture Extension Office. This opportunity was made possible through the Pike County High School Work-Based Learning Program. Her culminating project was to teach about seeds at the Primary School. She did an amazing job! Students interested in work-based learning opportunities should contact Mr. McLendon at the High School.
